@ohthatshari is in labor! update: summer came early this year!

Hi ladies! I feel weird making a SS thread, but I wanted to share that I'm in labor!

After DTD last night, I started to have lots of back pain. I'm 2 1/2 weeks away from my due date, so I didn't think it was anything but back pain so I took some Tylenol PM and tried to sleep.

About an hour later, I felt a pop and water started leaking out of me. Just like in the movies, but not as dainty. I woke DH up to confirm that I wasn't crazy and we got ready to head to the hospital.

Once at the hospital, the nurse checked and I was 100% effaced and 1-2cm dilated. I also had my bloody show. LO's head was able to be felt during my cervical check. The nurse had us alternate between walking around and fetal monitoring for the next 5 hours.

Finally, I got to 3-4cm dilated and they officially admitted me. I got an IV and sat and waited while my contractions got stronger. After about 3 hours, they got so bad that I got an epidural.

And that brings us to now. Just playing the waiting game. If the epidural slows my contractions/dilation, they'll give me pitocin. I'm hoping that things just go naturally from here, but it's all just wait and see.

UPDATE: They ended up giving me the pitocin and things progressed kinda quickly from there. Summer Daisy was born at 1:22pm. weighing 5lbs 9oz and measuring 19 inches! I pushed for about 15 minutes and tore a little bit. Baby and I are both doing great! We're pretty obsessed with her. Going to try to breast feed in a little while.
