Re: Pregnancy Updates
Week: 5, I just got my BFP last week and we are really excited. We have been trying since our loss and this was our 5th cycle. I was getting really discouraged that this wasn't happening like I thought (we got pregnant our first month trying with Norah).
Baby #: 2 (FX this is it for us!)
Rants/raves/concerns: I am excited but nervous until my first appointment. I have internally struggled with telling my family but ultimately decided to wait because of our previous loss. I want to make sure this is a healthy pregnancy before I tell the world.
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? I think I'm not as obsessed with this one because I have Norah to take care of and it keeps my mind off of it (kind of). Also symptom wise, it feels a little different so far. For example, I feel a lot more bloat is showing already.

Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns : I had some spotting on Friday night, so obviously that freaked me out. I have a Dr appt and NT scan on Tuesday. I am excited for it and it will be a relief to know everything is ok.
GTKY : this pregnancy is completely different. I find I am more nervous. I think it is because I know what is at stake. My symptoms have been polar opposite too. I have been way more nauseous and it has been difficult to chase after a toddler while feeling sick. But I am excited to have 2 u 2 and I know dd will be an awesome big sister.
Baby #2 & #3!!
Rants/raves/concerns: I am getting the life sucked out of me, to the point where I have almost passed out several times.
GTKY: this pregnancy is completely different than my first. I can finally eat, as I had so much nausea for the first 11 weeks I couldn't even look at food. The exhaustion has finally let up a little too, I feel a lot better. I cut my work schedule down from 12 hour days to 8 hour days so that helped a lot.
Baby #:2
Rants/raves/concerns: nothing so far other than rembering I'm pregnant! Ready for our first appt
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? So far haven't been as exhausted or nauseous thankfully.
Week: Almost 22 weeks
Baby #: 3
Rants/raves/concerns: None really. We just got A/C for the house, so I'm not even worried about summer heat anymore!
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? I. Am. Exhausted. I do not remember being this tired when pregnant with #2.
Week: 29
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: Getting excited getting DD's new room together. Trying to decide on a name.
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? Not as much time to prepare bc I am so busy with DD.
Week: 26
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: I am soooo tired of these charlie horses! They started coming on a lot sooner this pregnancy, but I could feel them coming and avoid them.... until this month. I'm eating all the spinach (I don't like bananas) and just picked up some supplements. Also a bit nervous to be having 2u2. It's what I wanted but every now and then I think to myself, "Oh crap! What did I do?!"
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? I miss being able to come home from a long day at work and being able to nap... or just sit. Having an active 17 month old does not allow for much of that.
Warning TMI.......I suffered 4th degree tearing during the delivery of DS and the damage was so bad to my rectum that although it has healed the doctor has warned that another natural delivery would run me the risk of destroying my anal sphincter and would mean that I would need to have a colostomy bag for the rest of my life. I'm too young for that. So this time I will be having a doctor recommended C section.
Week: 36
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: This my last week of school, fortunately. This pregnancy has been so much more difficult than the first one. I'm limping around in a lot of pain right now. Just need to get through Friday.
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? See above.
Really just the sheer exhaustion. I ended up on bed rest and I'm supposed to rest as often as possible. That's impossible until DS goes to bed. Then I stress out because nothing gets done around the house.
Week: 5
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: My last pregnancy was so easy I'm worried this one will be the total opposite. Deciding who to tell and when is weighing on my mind. I keep wavering on my resolve to rein in my excitement and wait to ask all my friends/relatives who have kids about 2 years apart for advice until I'm a bit further along.
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? I'm getting nauseous earlier than last time (didn't kick in until week 8 with DS), and I'm EXHAUSTED! I know I'm getting less sleep than last time, and chasing around a toddler, but man, I'm worn out all the time.
Week: 26
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: The VBAC/c-section debate is never ending in my head. Terrified of changing my (awesome) relationship with my 1 year old. Sad he is too young to prepare him for the upcoming changes in his home. Love when he uses my belly as a pillow
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? SO. TIRED. With baby #1, I could nap and/or rest when I wanted...not so much with a VERY active little boy.
"It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness." - Eleanor Roosevelt
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: Just did LOs first u/s! Blob has a good, strong heartbeat which makes me feel sooo much better after having so much spotting this last week (never had any with DD, so freaked out a bit!)
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? Nausea. Never had it with DD. It's miserable! And the exhaustion! Since DD doesn't nap, I don't nap, so I feel like it's sooooo much worse this time around (even though I was still working then with DD and definitely didn't have naptime!)
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: I've been really nervous this time around but saw the little heartbeat today!!! Nerves are gone!
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? Can't rest as much chasing around a toddler.
Week: 10 (Due 01/01/2015)
Baby #: 2
Rants/raves/concerns: Concern, had some spotting at 7 weeks, everything turned out be good, got to hear heartbeat earlier which was wonderful, can't wait until my appointment next week to hear again.
GTKY: What is different this time around, already having (at least) one? I feel like everyone must know already because I feel huge! I got married at 10 weeks with my first and no one knew, I was still wearing all the same clothes, this time, I'm ready to get out my maternity pants already! I've had a few food aversions that I craved last time that sound so gross to me this time around. Same amount of nausea. Pregnancy brain already. I felt beautiful with my first pregnancy, now I feel like my hair is dull and my face is breaking out and I just feel blah all the way around. I'll change my clothes like 3 times every morning, because nothing feels right. And so so very tired.
Congrats to all the expecting mamas out there!
