Piper??

I love this name but I am worried that its a bit too unusual. I live in the north east and you really never hear it used.
Is it too NN?
Me:35,  DH: 39   
TTC since March 2011. All bloodword, SA & HSG are normal.  
8/12: Clomid & TI - BFN 
10/12: Colmid & TI - BFN 
3/13:  Clomid, Trigger & IUI - BFN 
4/13: Gonal F, Trigger & IUI: BFN  
6/13: IVF #1 (1AA blast & 1BB blast) = BFN 
8/13: FET #1= BFN
10/13: FET #2= BFP!!!

    I don't think it is unusual at all. In fact, it is getting common. I'm in the Midwest and know 3 little girls with this name. Plus it is the main character's name on Orange is the New Black and with the popularity of the show I think it will be used even more.

    I like it. It's not unusual, IMO, but it's never going to be popular like Lily, Emily, or Olivia.

    It's a guilty pleasure name for me. I probably like it best in the middle, but wouldn't side-eye its use by anyone as a first name.

    I love this name! I do worry that it falls into the trying too hard category though like Ryder, Cash etc. It's definitely a GP for me.

    Piper reminds me of not so nice things. Let's see, smoking pipes, plumbing, the pied piper, I suppose bag pipes are ok. It's just that none of these are what I'd want my daughters name associated with.

    It's my DD's name. I love it. It was ranked #97 this past year. I don't find it unusual at all.

    I like it because it's spunky, not overly common and sounds good with our middle/last names. 
    It's at the very top of our list ... and will most likely be our 2nd daughter's name. :)
