Let him sleep or wake to eat?

I took E to a pool party today only after having a 15 minute nap this morning and another 15 on the drive over. After swimming all day and playing in the yard, he fell asleep on the way home about 5:00. He is still asleep and it's about 9:00 here. Should I wake him to eat? Or just let it ride? He ate lunch at 1145am and then some snacks at the party about 3:00.

  • I vote to let him sleep. He will wake up when he's hungry albeit off of schedule I'm sure because I don't think he'll sleep all the way through.

I suspect if he's really hungry, he'll wake up. Unfortunately that might mean 3 am... Would he take a bottle/milk and go back down easily if he did wake up in the MOTN? Regardless I'd probably let my kid sleep.

Sounds like he had an exhausting but fun day!

  • James will still do a bottle while not really waking up -- so that's what I'd try.  Right before YOU go to bed, go "dream feed" him.  But it is 7:30 AM so I imagine this situation is long gone.;-)
