I have started looking, and getting excited! I made DD's costume for the last 2 Halloweens (she'll be 2 1/2 this Halloween) and wanted to make them for the next one, too. Twins changes that a little bit, but I found really cute DIY costumes from JoAnns that are no-sew (like those tie blankets) which might be a little more doable. I'm thinking a ladybug for DD, and still working on cute twin newborn costumes!
I love Halloween costumes for kids and babies! I bought this Halloween Costume yesterday at a garage sale for $1. It's a 3-6 month size though so it will probably be huge on her since she will be less than a month old. For $1, though, I will try it out!
Sorry for the link. I can never remember how to post a pic.
This is so cute!!! We will be doing the same thing. I'll wear LO while taking DS trick-or-treating. . I'm hoping to do something that coordinates the two, but it'll depend somewhat on what DS says he wants to be.
Awe, all of these costumes are so cute! And I was literally just thinking about this!
I'm super excited to dress LO up but I probably won't go overboard this year as I doubt I'll be taking a 2 week old anywhere for Halloween. I do plan on getting or making a little pumpkin hat for her coming home outfit though.
For Halloween I'm thinking just a themed onesie this year and then next year we'll go all out! I like this Cinderella one because of the pumpkin connection. Apparently I'm a little obsessed with pumpkins lol
I've been thinking too! My peanut is due October 23, so hopefully he or she will arrive in time for Halloween.
My dog already has a Winnie the Pooh and an Eeyore costume...so depending on the sex, the baby will either be Piglet or Tigger.

I like making their costumes too but DS1 is old enough now to pick and he really wanted to be Spiderman. It was just easier to buy, then we made DS2 the Hulk. (My avatar pic).
@Emerald27 if I knew this LO was coming by Halloween I would buy it. Nursery is going to be minion themed. But I think LO will still be baking for another couple of weeks.
As soon as we found out we were pregnant and due in October I started looking at baby costumes. I already found a local lady who makes the little crotched outfits. I'm getting a pumpkin! Our hospital does pictures while the baby is still in the hospital so that will be his outfit and then we will reuse it for Halloween. If we were having a girl I thought about getting a little bikini outfit or mermaid and then putting "i've been working on this beach body for 9 months."
I love newborn costumes but they are kinda silly for me because I'll just wear him in a wrap while we walk my other two kids around trick or treating. If I'm up to it I might try a carrier based costume though many of those are more for SSC vs wrap
So, Grayson's nursery is going to be teal, gray, and orange accents. Which has totally turned into a fox theme. I ordered this off of Etsy a couple of days ago.
I die. These little hats and outfits are too much!
My EDD is 10/31 and we are not sure if we have decided to move forward with a VBAC or repeat C. I went into labor 2 weeks early with my son but who knows with this little peanut. I think I will wait to see how this pregnancy progresses and for my formal talk with my OB about delivery. I just need to make sure I get my son in a costume! Maybe one of those cute Esty hats would be a good purchase just in case. The babes can wear it all winter anyways.
PS - my son was born with a giant dome and none of the nb hats would fit his head. I suggest some might wait until the last growth scan toward the end when they give you a head estimate.

My sister has a dinosaur costume that my son will wear and if the baby is here by Halloween she also has a crochet dinosaur hat that he will wear. It looks similar to this.
Can't decide if I want to splurge and get one or not. My EDD is 10/16 so I'd love to get newborn photos in a costume and use it as our announcement! But who knows if I'll go late or not. These are my top two... So much cute!

Optimally newborns are taken the first 10 days so you should be fine. Baby comes early and you can do them or late and you would still have time most likely.
If you have your photographer already than you may want to ask her which would photograph better. Some "costumes" are much better than others to photograph. I know you pay them to give you what you want but their ability to photograph it will make a difference also in the result you get
I am LOVING these costumes! I know our LO will be here by Halloween, because our doctor only allows me to go one week past my due date of 10/20, but since this is our first we won't actually go out trick or treating this year. Depending on when labor happens, i will probably hand out candy. We probably won't do any costumes though. I can't wait to see pics of all your LOs though!
DH is absolutely set on doing Dr. Evil and Mini Me. One of the first things he said when we found out LO is a girl was "I can't do my costume idea now". I assured him that baby girl will in fact be bald, so he can still go through with it if he really wants to. )
Oh my gosh, these costumes are so stinking adorable. I'm due 10/28, so we probably won't do anything this year if the baby is here by Halloween. Maybe a Halloween-themed onesie?
I loved my little lobster on his first Halloween. He had this pouty look and we took a black and white shot of him in a big pot. It was hilarious/adorable.
Re: Halloween costumes.
I just started looking and there are like a billion cute choices, it'll be hard to choose!
DS2 8/21/12
DD 9/26/14
Baby #4 edd 2/11/19
DS wouldn't wear any hats, so the sharks and other costumes with enormous headpieces were out.
I will most likely wear baby while we are out so maybe just a hat like this.

So it will be 4,2 and a new baby... All boys. I have been thinking about this
Last year they were superheroes
And before that a lion and a bear. I can't find any newborn ones
These are my top two... So much cute!

Too cute but he won't be big enough for it this year and possibly too big for it next year...
