Tailbone and Buttocks pain

I am 30 weeks and today I am experiencing extreme pain in my tailbone and my butt cheeks. I can't sit down , the only way I'm comfortable is laying on my side. Is anyone else going thru this?

  • Me! I've been going through this for a week now or so. I'm also 30 wks. It's ridiculous how uncomfortable and bad my tail bone hurts. I'm constantly switching side to side and taking Tylenol... Hang in there... I'm trying

  • I've been going through this for probably 2 months. My dr said the baby could be sitting on a nerve, or it could be sciatic pain.

    Me too! It has been terrible... Almost to the point where I would rather not even sit down because knowing the pain I will feel when I stand up isn't worth it. I was recommended a donut to sit on. When I told my hubby I needed a donut he thought I meant actual consumption of a donut. Ha ;) men don't really get it. When I mention the back pain he thinks I'm over exaggerating. Hot packs on the rear end / tail none and hot shower water beating on my back helps too.

    I had some buttocks pain early on in this pregnancy. I sat on a heating pad, which helped lot.

  • I'm 27 weeks and have been experiencing excruciating pain in my left buttock every time I move. Nothing seems to be helping, other than when I lie on my stomach for a little while. I'm so so miserable and can't imagine what to do if this lasts much longer.

  • Yes! I found that using my foam roller really helps! I just sit on it and gently rock forwards and backwards!

  • I have been having the same thing! It feels like a pinched nerve or pulled muscle in the middle of my left buttocks.
    I just try and move slowly and stretch gently, but I'm going to try some of these other tips.
