I think I may be caring Edward Cullen's baby....

I am about 22 weeks.  A week ago, I was showing, but not everyone could tell I was pregnant....so it wasn't super noticable.  However, this week I am HUGE!!! I think this baby has had an enormous growth spurt!  Along with my quickly, doubling in size, growing belly...This week I have acquired carpal tunnel pain at night and in the morning.  It is so bad that the pain wakes me up at night and I cannot grip a hair brush in the morning.  Also this week...my HIPS!!!!! I cannot stay asleep at night.  I toss, I turn, I try a pillow under the belly, try hugging it, tried the couch...no relief.  The pain is unbearable and I am averaging about 3-4 hours of sleep a night now.  I cannot remember ever doing this in such a short time with my other kids.  Has anyone else had this sudden belly growth?? I go to the doctor tomorrow....I will be bringing this up :(

  • You're more concerned about belly growth that is suppose to happen than the carpal tunnel? Weird.
  • I believe baby has just finished going through a growth spurt @ somewhere between 18-24 weeks, so belly growth would seem normal. Also I'm assuming you mean 'carrying' and not 'caring' Edward Cullen's baby.

  • LOL I just told my husband that I feel like Bella when the baby started to rapidly grow and broke her ribs. I'm just about 25 weeks, and someone told me today at the store that I must be ready to deliver soon. My midwife told me that I would probably end up showing earlier and more than other women because I have a really slender body type; as she put it, there's nowhere for that baby to hide!

On a more serious note, I have been dealing with a lot of back pain and have been having a really difficult time sleeping over the past several nights. The back pain was so bad yesterday that I seriously almost started crying, and that's not like me at all. If you're built anything like me, I think the extra baby weight is just taking its toll. I'm glad you're talking to your doctor about it; I also have an appt. this week and plan on doing the same. Good luck to you. Know that you are not alone!
