I read somewhere that a survey of gynos voted that the worst smell they encounter is from women's feet. It was years ago but I never forget it and now I always carry socks with me when I expect to put my feet in the stirrups. Only thought about it because I wore flops the other day when I had my annual so I just unpacked my bright orange socks from my purse and wondered if I was the only one who does this.

Oh good! It's not a crazy thing! I often wonder if they are looking at me thinking 'what's with the socks? She has flops sitting over there'.

This was not something I worried about...until now. I will be bringing socks from now on as the last thing I want to be worrying about is the stench of my feet!

I've always worn socks to the gyno. I'm such a nut about it that I will buy a new package of socks before my appointment. It's all about comfort for me; somehow, having a fresh pair of socks on my feet comforts me. I'm weird about my feet, though, and they're pretty ugly from past surgeries I've had on them.

I'm with @Joy2611: If your feet stink, how much help will socks really offer?

I shower day of, try to have early morning appts and usually wear socks that day because my feet get stinky faster in my shoes if I don't wear socks.

My feet don't smell unless I have spent a long and sweaty day in flats so it isn't something I typically worry about.

I've washed my feet in the bath room last summer when I was pregnant. Every time because I was paranoid.

I also gave myself a quick wipe down in the bathroom with baby wipes because it's a damn inferno here (110*F) in June/July/August.

They must have wondered why it took me so long to pee in a cup. :P $:\$ ">
