AR Formula Moms

Just throwing this out there to see if anyone might be able to help.
A little background, we have dealt with this for months now. We keep DS upright as much as possible and follow every piece of advice we've read/gotten online and from others, but putting him on the AR formula was the only thing that seemed to reduce the spit up. We tried the Target Brand of AR and it's definitely not as thick and DS spit up quite a bit compared to the normal amounts. (We tried rice cereal in the bottles and we are in the group that it does nothing for.) 

Has anyone had a similar problem with this? Not quite time for the next bottle but I'm curious if adding an extra half scoop would do anything to help at all. We looked into Gelmix thickener after success with their sample pack, but with the cost of shipping their 8 oz jar, it makes it just as expensive as Enfamil.

    Just an update, we used the enfamil scoop which we determined was bigger than the Target one and he seems to be doing just fine now. After doing the math, Target's rice based formula is the same price as the bulk price of Enfamil...so we might just switch back to Enfamil.
