This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

Hey mommas! I hope all is well. As many of you know because of my awesome LB @MollySM, Baby Kelsey arrived this past Tuesday. I can still do the weekly check-in, but I probably won't have the time to write everything up like usual even though I am reading about what is going on with everyone.

I'll be working on setting up a Social Group and/or Facebook group for those of you that are interested so I'll keep you posted.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 4 days old tonight.

What do you still have left to prep? My padsicles. I still have a few ice pack pads left over from the hospital.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Emotionally I've only had two breakdowns so far...one when we were driving home from the hospital as a family of four because I couldn't believe that she was here safe and one yesterday because I was just over the recovery pain but thankful I was having recovery pain at the same time.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I don't go back until 6 wks and Kelsey did well at her first appt and goes back Tuesday for her one week check-up.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Her breathing is so shallow that it keeps freaking me out that she isn't breathing.

Any baby awesomeness this week? We had a rough first night home but a great one last night so hopefully we can figure out her rhythm and keep going with great nights.

QOTW – What moments are you looking forward to the most with LO?

Looking forward to the simple moments with the girls. I got all teary last night when DH was pushing Kaitlyn on her swing set and had Kelsey in his arms. Are family feels more complete than ever.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 39 weeks

What do you still have left to prep? Not much! We're going in for induction tomorrow so just last minute packing & prepping.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I'm uncomfortable but trying to savor my last day being pregnant. As scary as it has been to be PGAL it's been a good experience. I'll miss him moving. Emotionally I'm terrified. I just want delivery to go smoothly. We're expecting him to be 9.5lbs and I'm just worried. I've been an L&D nurse for 6 years and been a part of hundreds of beautiful deliveries and of course the only ones I keep thinking are are the few horrible ones I've been a part of.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Going in tomorrow at 1pm for cytotec induction.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Trying to think positive. It's all gonna work out!!

How far along are you/How old is baby? 38 weeks

What do you still have left to prep? We are getting our carseat tomorrow at our last baby shower, and hopefully getting that installed before she gets here. I also have to do laundry... I was all set up to start and then realized the detergent that I got isn't HE, so I have to exchange it.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically, depends on the day. Emotionally, excited but can't wrap my head around the fact that she could be here any time.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? At my appointment this last week my dr said her head was much lower and will probably put enough pressure on my cervix now for it to start progressing.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? No... not setting any expectations for myself because I know with my OCD that I'll beat myself up if I don't live up to them.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Nope.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 38 weeks! Ready for baby anytime now.

What do you still have left to prep? Make a copy of my house key for my dad (he'll be watching DS while I'm at the birth center), install the car seat, finish packing hospital bag. Almost there!

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Tired, sore, and swollen. Ready for baby anytime she's ready to arrive.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? 39 week appointment on Tuesday.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Nothing really to add here.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Been having some stronger/more regular BH contractions. Hopefully this means that things are moving along.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 39 weeks 3 days

What do you still have left to prep? Carseat still needs to go in but since he won't be home for awhile we still have some time. I also have a couple shelves to install (who am I kidding...hubs has to do that)

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? It's amazing that after 40 weeks I can still get nervous. Like when he doesn't move for awhile I automatically think the worse. At yesterday's appt his heart rate was low and that got me worried. I'm definitely ready for him to be here.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? If he doesn't come naturally my induction is set for wed night into Thursday. So I'll meet my little man in less than a week!

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Lotsa fear. He's been safe inside for so long that things are gonna get real this week.

Baby engaged, I never had a baby engaged before labour before so hoping I want go over due, and at my last appt when the MW was listening to the heartbeat baby had hiccups it was quit funny :-)

37w2d, Miss Camryn Team Pink~~~~everything prepped, just a couple things to throw in the bag last second, DH will put car seat in car when we go into labor. We practiced that and they check it at the hospital. ~~~~ physically I thought I hit the wall this week, had a couple of cranky, hot and achy days, turns out I just needed a nap. Feeling much better now....at this weeks appointment when she checked me Camryn is higher than she was last week, and less dilated! Doc thinks when she checked me last week I may have been having a contraction that made baby look lower than she really was and temporarily dilated me a touch. Things closed up pretty tight, only a fingertip now. Emotionally I am very excited to meet this girl, but I not a terribly patient person when I'm ready for something! ~~~~ I'm a little nervous about labor but I know at the end of the day my body knows what to do and I don't have that much control over it. Just remember to breathe through it! ~~~~ baby awesomeness! Monday night this little girl rotated 180 degrees so now her butt is on my right side, was amazed that she could make a full rotation being so tight in there! Guess that's why I slept so poorly and woke up a few times with belly pain wondering if I could be in labor! ~~~~ QOTW~~~~I'm looking forward to any quiet bonding times! especially the late night feedings where it is just her and I together, with me giving her something only I can give.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 37w6d

Team / Name? Blue / We're keeping it to ourselves until we've seen him.

What do you still have left to prep? Nothing, really. I wish I did because then I'd have something to take my mind off of the waiting.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I'm doing pretty well. I wish I could take longer walks, but I have to pee every 10 minutes which limits that. Emotionally, I am trying to stay relaxed. We have a schedule induction for next Sunday, June 8th, but I am really hoping our little guy decides to make an appearance on his own prior to that.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I've been on NST/BPP monitoring weekly since the start of my 3rd trimester, but for this last week I've got two appointments in addition to my usual doctor appointment.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I am still having the PGAL fear of not taking this baby home. Everything was perfect with our daughter until she died suddenly on her due date. I keep trying to be logical and know that the likelihood of that happening is extremely small, but emotionally, it can be difficult.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He has figured out how to wedge a foot under my ribs in the back. So now I've got his bum pushing out from my ribs in front and his foot in back. I've discussed this with him, but he doesn't seem to be listening to me.

What do you still have left to prep?
My mom took me shopping on Thursday and we got pretty much everything I need, just have to put it all together now (playpen, swing, baby tub, carrier etc) wash all the clothes and sanitize bottles, pacis, aspitator, etc. My MIL ordered the car seat which is coming on my surgery date. Waiting on a few things I ordered online. Finishing up his baby blanket this week it should have been done already but I made it super wide accidentally so I need to make it super long so the proportions are good! It already looks like it would be a bedspread for a toddler bed though it's huge

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?
Getting super scared for the surgery. Trying not to think about work drama or the fact that my landlord's kids are super pressuring us to move out knowing I'm having a baby in a week. Worrying about the recovery, getting my tubal, the overall health of my LO and postpartum.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? My husband called while I was doing the NST yesterday to tell me about voicemails my landlord's son left him after I saw him yesterday before my appointment. I started having contractions I was getting so upset. The nurse was getting worried about me. I pretty much spazzing out on hubby, saying I can't believe you're calling me right now with this knowing I'm having a non stress test!! Hello!! So I hung up on him and felt pretty crappy the rest of the day.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add?
I keep going back and forth between worrying about the baby being ok and psyching myself out about all the pain I know I'm going to be in. I have a very high tolerance for pain but I don't deal well with stress so I think that tends to make things worse.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I am so thankful she is here and in a lot of pain. C-section recovery sucks and it's not any easier with a repeat. I'm really hoping I start feeling better soon.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 37w 1d

What do you still have left to prep? We've got all sorts of stuff left to do. I'm starting to give up hope that I can get it all done, but in a way that's refreshing. It is what it is, and in reality she doesn't need much for day 1. H has one more week of school and then finals, and then he'll be around to help more and that's just going to have to be good enough.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? I am having a rough week. My body just feels done, which I'm really surprised about. With my daughter I just kept going and moving and walking and everything right up until I had her at 40w5d. I am all of a sudden in so much pain, with so many BH contractions, and cramping. I can't do anything without becoming completely exhausted. It's hard because I feel like I'm not even keeping up with real life here (cooking, grocery shopping, dishes, taking care of my daughter and the girls I watch), and so the list of extra things that need to be done just seem totally impossible to me. I took my first bath last night, and went in the pool today hoping for some pain relief. They definitely helped when I was in then, but afterwards I just feel so completely wiped out that I can't get anything done.

H is frustrated too - he's never home because he's getting close to finals. He feels stressed about schoolwork, and then guilty about not being able to help me, which makes him completely grumpy and miserable. I don't have the energy to be his support system right now, and he doesn't have the energy to be mine. And that's not really working - we're used to at least one of us being chipper and on the ball and upbeat.

Well, that was long! I guess I'm feeling a lot of things this week, and just needed to get them off my chest. Thanks for listening!

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I'm on my weekly appts now. I had one on Thursday, and I have one next Thursday. I was so happy to go in last week because Viv hadn't been moving as much as I was used to (though she was still moving a million times a day) so it was good to have the doc listen to her heartbeat and tell me things were alright. Since then she's gone back to her old self, which is reassuring!

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I am mostly worried about Lucia dealing with the whole thing right now. I think fear for Viv will come into play when labor starts and I really remember what I am getting myself in to!

Any baby awesomeness this week?
I went to a concert that my brother played in this week, and Viviana went nuts during one of the pieces. It was really fun to think about how she heard/felt the music and to see her response.

QOTW – What moments are you looking forward to the most with LO? I am excited about seeing her with her big sister. And I am so ready to start to get to know her. With Lucia I think we just pictured generic baby when we thought about her coming into our lives. But now that we see just how much she is herself, and has been since the first week, we are excited to meet Viviana and start to get to know this new member of our family!

How far along are you/How old is baby? 37 weeks

What do you still have left to prep? A nursery at our new place and pick up a few more items over the next week (pump, some bottles, etc) but we finally have plenty of clothes and diapers to get us through our move in July.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Insomnia, loss of appetite, itching like crazy with no found reasons, heartburn and very anxious to meet our LO

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I am waiting on results from bile and liver blood work. We should have then at our appointment on Tuesday. My results from 2 weeks ago at L&D were fine but since I've gotten 0 relief from the itching the DR is doing them again.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I think I've hit a calm where I think I can do this whole laboring and parenting thing.

Any baby awesomeness this week? I finally had the baby shower and it was pretty great. My mom and sister finally got to feel baby kicking around. LO has remained head down since at least week 34 and BH are picking up,

I think I'm looking forward to it all. Meeting him, bonding, watching him grow and certainly watching my husband bond with LO.

How far along are you/How old is baby? Baby is 16 days

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically I feel great, my recovery from my RCS was awesome. It was so much easier this time. Emotionally, I'm pretty good.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Ryan still isn't up to his birthweight (we're having some BF issues) so he needs to be seen every week. THis week's appointment he needs to be back up to his birthweight, which means he needed to add 7 ounces in a week, of we have to discuss supplementing with formula. I'm hoping he's gaining weight.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I am scared that I'm not giving equal attention to all three of my boys. My 5 year old wants attention that's different than my 2 year old and then I have Ryan who needs so much more. It's pretty hard juggling all 3 at once.

Any baby awesomeness this week? He's just awesome in general. I still can't get over that he was supposed to be born this coming Thursday and by then he'll be one day shy of his 3 week birthday.

@MollySmI soooo relate to everything you wrote - from not feeling prepared, to being SO much more uncomfortable this time, to stress with the husband, to worrying more about the big kid than the baby inside you. I'm sorry you're going through the same stuff, but it made me feel not alone!

What do you still have left to prep? Pack the hospital bag, get down the cosleeper, get some newborn diapers, etc etc. Would like to sterilize the bottles & pacifiers, but we'll probably wait a few weeks for those, so no rush.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Roller coaster.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I tested negative for GBS. Woo! Decided on the hospital we'll be going to and are actually excited about it. They have an awesome low-intervention suite that hopefully I'll get to use.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Worried about labor in the sense that it was really effing hard last time. Ha. Worried my doctor won't be on board with my wishes and be too intervention-happy. Also still dealing with all the emotions from my good friend losing her 37-week-old baby a few weeks ago.

Any baby awesomeness this week? Doctor thinks he's head down, so that's awesome!

How far along are you/How old is baby? 37 weeks, full term!

What do you still have left to prep? Pack hospital bag, install second car seat base, prep cloth diapers, put finishing touches on nursery

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically- I'm having terrible swelling in my hands and feet. No BP issues or protein in urine so it's just dealing with this uncomfortable swelling. Heartburn still sucks and having some nausea/vomiting still. Emotionally- just in awe that I'm now full term and have made it to this point. Getting really excited to meet this LO.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Weekly appointment on Tuesday. Last week I was only a fingertip dilated and baby was not engaged so we'll see if I've made any progress but I kind of doubt it considering I'm not contracting at all.

Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? I sometimes worry that now that I've made it so far in the pregnancy that something bad might happen. I wish PgAL brain would just let me be happy and excited without the extra worry!

Any baby awesomeness this week? I've heard that sometimes you'll feel less movement the further along you get due to baby's cramped quarters but this baby has been so crazy the past couple of days! I love that fact that it's still wiggling and kicking away in there.

How far along are you/How old is baby? 8 days old! Team / Name? Pink / Abigail Lily What do you still have left to prep? I have realized I need a few more items I was unable to get due to being on bed rest. Like BF milk storage bags, baby carrier, bottles. How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically - recovery from the c section is slow going but my scar looks amazing ... Almost like it isn't even there. Emotionally - being a FTM without my mom around and so far way from my family is really hard. And the hormones are worse now than they were during the pregnancy!! I breakdown so many times a day it's ridiculous. Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Abigail lost a lot of weight and has jaundice. Went to the pedi on Friday and have to go back Monday for another check. Abby is not a great eater and refuses to settle into a routine for breast feeding. Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Parenting fear - that I did the breast feeding thing wrong in the hospital and completely screwed up my little girl. I feel like a failure. Congrats to everyone whose babies are here!!! I'd love to see pics . . . .

What do you still have left to prep? Shockingly, not much! Somehow in the past 2 weeks we got just tons of gifts/hand-me-downs, and we bought a bunch of stuff. So I'm all of a sudden feeling pretty prepared! We just have to put everything away, do some cleaning, etc.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Mixed bag. I'm so relieved to not be working anymore, but now I'm feeling so so tired! Maybe I didn't quite realize how tired I was when I was working. I'm also now starting to feel more uncomfortable, with some backaches and sore belly while I'm sleeping. I still can't complain much though, I'm really pretty good physically.

Emotionally I'm starting to get anxious! I want to meet him already!

Hi Ladies! I hope everyone is doing well. Huge congrats to @kimmyberly26 on the arrival of her beautiful daughter.

What do you still have left to prep?

I hit my nesting stride big time this past weekend, nursery is pretty much ready, bassinette as well. Also did all the NB to 3 month baby laundry I will need, feeling very accomplished today if I do say so myself. Still have to pack my hospital bag.

How are you feeling physically/emotionally?

Emotionally very excited and somewhat teary eyed reading all the birth stories. Physically exhausted and getting some lovely swelling on my ankles and feet, they look hilarious just the usual late pregnancy stuff.

Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?

Had an ultrasound this morning (the last one) docs were having trouble confirming position so sent me, she is luckily head down and low and looking perfect so that is a huge relief and I am feeling so happy that I got to see her again.

Getting anxious for labour and wondering how things will play out this time around, its nerve racking near the end but feeling better now that I have some things prepared, it actually looks like a baby will be living at our house soon!
