Just thought I'd post this - I thought some of it rang true when I look back to how things were right after DS was born.
I think some of it's pretty good stuff to bear in mind (especially #1).

As a 2nd time mom, this article is pretty true.

Although, I'm not a touchy-feely person, so as far as #9 goes, I was waaaaay happier to always hand over the baby and do the chores myself so I could have some time with a sweaty little heater not groping me.

I think I'd like to add, even for some people who have touch as a primary love language, by the time your SO gets home if you're the one home with the baby, you might not want him anywhere near you, under penalty of death.

The problem is even when people do tell first time pregnant moms, they don't listen nor believe it will happen to them.

Agreed with the touch part (and loved the whole article).

I'm still a total cuddle bug, and I love snuggling up to DH or with Milo, but when he was an infant and constantly needed to be held, I was so ready to hand him off to whoever wanted to hold him. Never in a million years did I ever think I would feel that way, but I did. (Probably didn't hurt that I'm definitely NOT a germaphobe.)
