If you like Luna

Would an L last name bring it "too" Harry Potter (if there's such a thing) for you?

    This is me too.

I like Luna a lot--one of my co workers has a DD named Luna and I have been admiring it from afar.

I still like it, even with an L lastname.

No way! Luna was on our shortlist if my LO had been a girl. We can't use it on a future LO because it is to close to Lucian, so go forth and use Luna. I don't think it is too much even with an L lastname because

1)Harry Potter won't be as important to our kids as it is to us
    and
2)Luna Lovegood was an awesome character so any potential association would be positive.

@Coconuthead‌ I will respectfully disagree with point 1 :) totally agree with 2.

Last name is German, similar to Linhausen

I would use it. Luna is a gorgeous name and the fact that it's an HP name makes it even better

I love Luna! I "wasted" it on our cat because I didn't think we'd have anymore kids. D'oh!

I like it. I was just thinking about this name today. I love HP and wouldn't mind the association because she's a cool character. But really it's just a nice unique name that you don't hear too often.

I still like it with an L last name.

I would use it in a second. I'm biased though, I love the name and the character.

Do it. Just not if the last name resembles love in any way, shape, or form.

Biased cause DD is Luna, but I don't think the association is a big deal, like others said, as long as it doesn't sound a lot like Lovegood. I've only had a few people ask, "Like Luna Lovegood?" If it helps people remember her name, it doesn't bother me.

Nah, not unless your last name is actually Lovegood. I like alliteration!

I don't like it with your last name. It is too much! Too sing-songy! I would keep looking
