24 hour

I went into 24 hour fitness last night to freeze my membership until after baby... The young man at the counter proceeds to tell me that I will be charged a fee to "freeze" my account unless I have a military or medical reason. I tell him, "well I'm having a baby". He proceeds to tell me having a baby is not a medical reason to freeze my account. Oh really buddy? You really want to mess with me?! Let's just say I educated the man and walked out with no fees to hold my account. What a douchebag!

Re: 24 hour

  • All u have to do is email the request to their headquarters online. Easy peasy!
  • Loading the player...
  • I had to get a doctors note in order to freeze my account and then renew it every 3mos... Like I was no longer going to be uber pregnant or something.

I froze mine at 5mos because of issues with my connective tissue disorder.

  • First, I thought this was going to be about a 24 hour pee collection. Second, I would have requested to speak to his manager and if he was the highest manager there I would send an email to corporate about educating their employees on child birth and why women can't start working out immediately after pushing a kid out.

  • How frustrating!  I had the exact opposite experience putting my 24-Hour Fitness membership on hold.  They congratulated me and said no problem at all.  Sounds like they aren't doing a good job educating their staff members.
