Re: Expressed milk question

  • You're totally fine. 4-5 days in the fridge is ok but make sure you store it in the back of the fridge where it's coldest... Not in the door. Personally I am now storing mine next to the ice box bc everything there seems to get really cold. 4-5 hours at room temp; up to 6mo in the freezer, although some say it has to be a deep freezer.
  • I followed the 5-5-5 rule and never had any issues. Your milk should be fine to use tonight.

If it is a deep freezer you can go a year. Regular freezer is 6 months.

  • My LC told me it was 6-6-6 (hours, days, months). It's on their info sheet for all patients - I think you are fine!

Definitely! Five days is good to go by like PPs said, plus it will smell nasty if it's bad.
