Re: Lady, Treat Yo Self GTKY
My alone day would be a slice of heaven on earth; it would start with sleeping in, but not so late that I would feel like I lost my day.....then I would get an iced coffee and hang out in bed for a while, watching TV and catching up on blogs etc. from there I would go sit in the sun for a bit an read, before heading to the spa for a hot stone message and pedicure. I'd then stop and grab my favorite to go meal (baked rigatoni).....come home and eat it with a big glass of delicious red wine. And finish the night by spending time on my deck and killing that bottle of wine. This would all be amazing!
If I had an hour; I too would settle for a nap!
This summer - my main goal is to get back to the RE and finalize a timeline for an FET. Waiting on a post LEEP pap and to get a few money ducks in a row since DH is now working a commission only job.
Home improvements - we need to do some windows and a door and have needed to for about two years. It's so expensive that it keeps getting pushed back. Ugh.
I enjoy gardening only when my plants thrive, which is about half the time!

Drink = Mexican beer with salt and like on a patio. Mmm. Or a beer-garita (a real one, not the ones in a can.)
Day = Sleep in, brunch with mimosas and waffles, massage, mani/pedi, happy hour on a patio with my BFF, homemade dinner, and bed. Ahh.
Hour = A mimosa and a mani/pedi. (I swear I'm not an alcoholic, I just craved beer my whole pregnancy and am excited to get back on the train )
Summer = I'm cheating and saying 2 things. First of all, I want to do better at maternity leave than I did last time. E was such a hard baby, an I spent the entire 12 weeks on the couch nursing her or crying in the shower while she cried in her swing. I want to be able to do things this time. Which brings me to being able to lose some of this baby weight. I feel so soft and round and it is really upsetting me. (I know, I know, JUST had a baby. But still. I feel gross.)
Home = Probably nothing. We just bought an entire new kitchen of appliances since our dishwasher crapped out and there were good Memorial Day sales. So we will be paying on that for a while.
Gardening = I loved having a garden at our old house, but I don't feel like I have the time or energy to devote to it right now. Maybe next year.

Day: Sleep until 8 and head to Starbucks for a coffee and good read. Shopping and lunch (maybe sushi or Mexican). Layout by the pool with a cocktail or maybe a movie by myself! Order in takeout, grab a glass of wine and rent a movie.
HOUR? Sit outside and read
What's one thing you hope to accomplish this summer? Clean out the basement so we can make it a play area in the fall
Any fun/not so fun home improvement projects going on? We just had our deck stained and painted. It was way more expensive than I'd hoped, but not so painful.
Thoughts on gardening? Love it? Hate it? Planning on doing any? I like it, but never seem to have the time! Also, I sort of hate sweating, so the weather has to be perfect!! Most of our landscaping is perennials and pretty low maintenance, but I've already done the pruning and planted some annuals in the planters. We need some more mulch, so we will have to do that soon.

What's been your "can't wait for summer" go to drink?
A really good shandy beer.
If you had one day ALONE to pamper yourself, describe it to the last detail - what would you do?
Um, mine is probably pretty pathetic but I'd watch trashy tv or maybe a classic movie followed by reading, napping and eating junky food.
How about one HOUR?
Sleep or go sit in a coffee shop for an hour and read magazines.
What's one thing you hope to accomplish this summer?
Do our frozen embryo transfer and be happy with whatever the outcome.
Any fun/not so fun home improvement projects going on?
Nope. We need a new roof but there's no way we can afford it so maybe our project is keeping our fingers crossed.
Thoughts on gardening? Love it? Hate it? Planning on doing any?
I LOVE the idea of it and the buying of plants and veggies but it falls apart in the actual day to day gardening. Luckily, my husband sort of takes over.
Kelly, Mom to Christopher Shannon 9.27.06, Catherine Quinn 2.24.09, Trey Barton lost on 12.28.09, Therese Barton lost on 6.10.10, Joseph Sullivan 7.23.11, and our latest, Victoria Maren 11.15.12
Secondary infertility success with IVF, then two losses, one at 14 weeks and one at 10 weeks, then success with IUI and then just pure, crazy luck. Expecting our fifth in May as the result of a FET.
