Hey ladies! It's been a while since I've been active, but trying to get back into TB!
I can't update on FB, since all DFCS stuff is private, but we are so excited to be wrapping up our home study this month and will likely have a child in July! We were put on the fast track due to our desire to foster and not only foster children eligible for adoption. So excited about what life will bring us! We could have a child from 0-8, boy or girl. God has plans for us we will see what happens! Thanks for your encouragement and support!!
Also- an update on Joel's hand. The skin they removed was juvenile melanoma, and he is having a surgery on July 17th to have the rest of the skin removed from his hand. The doc is going to attempt the procedure in his office, but Joel's age makes this a difficult procedure and limits medicinal options. Everyone say good thoughts that the procedure works in the office, because the alternative is likely Johns Hopkins or Mayo. Anyway- he's healing well from that now that the infection from the biopsy is healed and we are thankful it's all working out.
We continue to battle Joel's excema and now he has croup and an eye and ear infection, so it's been nuts here. I'm also 3 weeks into the 8 week summer semester. It's pure madness around here and I love it.
Anyway, that's where I have been. I missed you ladies, but I just had some things I had to focus on for a bit and I can't wait to start keeping up with you all again
