Pack n Play mattress?

So we co sleep right now but LO is starting to try and roll more so I wanted to get him in his own space. He is way too big for a bassinet now and I gave my crib to my sister for her DS, he's still to small for a toddler bed so I don't feel right asking for it back. I have a pack n play we could use but it's so hard I don't think he would be comfortable. I looked up a mattress for it, but wanted to check if anyone had a recommendation before I buy one.

Re: Pack n Play mattress?

  • We have an extra mattress for our PNP that we got for our DS when he was older and he was sleeping in it for a week on vacation.  I think it was about $50 and we got it at Target.  It made it more comfortable for him since he was used to sleeping in his crib already.

  • Buy the mattress!!!! Makes it so much more comfortable!! We bring it whenever we go on road trips where the kiddos will be sleeping in the PNP
  • My DD slept in a pack n play for two years without a special mattress and she slept well and was comfortable. I used a quilted sheet :) Infant mattresses are supposed to be on the firm side anyway.
