I need help with window treatments

I still have yet to decide on what I want to cover my kitchen window(standard size) and patio doors.

I do not want traditional blinds. I want to class up the joint but don't know where to start.

What are those shade thingies called that have a pattern on them and they look fancy?

Love roman shades. We have them on our deck doors and we can still see outside. Lots of light comes through.

Personally I think thick white wooden blinds looks really clean/classy

It looks like you window may be wider. I'm torn but I can't sit on this much longer because the sun shines through all day past 5 o'clock and it's getting way hot and the air is non stop when it's on because so much sun!

I think shutters would look tidier than wood blinds. You don't have the cords hanging everywhere and I hate when blinds are pulled up crooked. Same goes for any blinds (roman too). I think white shutters would look really crisp with the colours you have in your kitchen.

That said. I would do plantation shutters. Much easier to clean!!
