Symptoms: Tired, back is killing me, RLP, moody, my boobs are bipolar (feel fine one day and miserable the next). Actually all of me is pretty bipolar right now. Nosebleeds, the bane of my pregnancy with my son, are back and delighting me in the middle of the night. Awesomeness.
Appointments/Updates: My AFP testing came back negative (HOORAY!). Baseline toxemia blood screen is done, now I need to do my 24 hour urine catch this weekend (I keep forgetting to do it). Have a "Let's Check on the High Risk Chick" appt on 6/2 and my anatomy scan is 6/18. It's insane how quickly time is flying with this one.
GTKY: What do you consider your best feature? I'm answering this based on what I've heard my whole life. My eyes. I come from a family of people with huge, freakishly blue eyes. We all have them. My mom, sister and brother have/had these really light, almost opaque blue eyes. My eyes are a little darker. I also think I have a nice nose--it's little and doesn't muck up my face. He he he.
Me: 42, DH: 40; Surprise BFP 4/27/2011; no heartbeat at 9w3d, we miss you, Baby Manatee; D&C 6/1/2011; AF returned 6/26/2011; Ready to try for our take-home baby. 7/24/2011--BFP! Peanut born March 2012; BFP: 7/31/2013!; blighted ovum at 7 weeks 8/26/2013. Holy Cannoli! BFP 2/23/2014. EDD 11/6/2014!
Appointments/Updates: just had my 16 week appointment and found out I'm no longer immune to rubella. Waiting on my blood results to come back for spina bifida.
GTKY: What do you consider your best feature? My smile.
Symptoms: some bloating and constipation, sore gums, somewhat dry eyes, skin breaking out on my face and a few other random spots lol, crazy weird dreams every night, some back pain, increased appetite, super ridiculous sense of smell (my boss put on lotion the other day and even with her office door open I was on smell overload)
Appointments/Updates: latest U/S was last week and went fine, anatomy scan on 6/18
GTKY: What do you consider your best feature? Probably my eyes, they're blue but when you look at them up close there are a lot of crazy flecks of color in them, my eye doctor comments every year about how she loves looking at them
Symptoms: Not a ton of symptoms; headache every few days, dry eyes and pretty bad hip pain.
Appointments/Updates: Had my 16wk appt yesterday. Got to hear LO's hb. I'm measuring where I should. Made the appt for my anatomy scan for the 25th. Everyone's all "can't wait to find out the sex" and I'm all "can't wait to look at LO again and make sure he or she is developing okay."
GTKY: What do you consider your best feature? My dimples.
Symptoms: I've got my energy back and nausea is almost gone (yay!!). Headaches on/off and edema makes my feet swell up if I don't keep them elevated.
Appointments/Updates: No appointments until mid-June. We got our Mat21 results and (Praise the Lord!!) everything is negative. We also found out one of the twins is a boy. With twins they can only tell you what you're having for sure if the sex chromosome detected is XX (two girls - not because of the double X - ha! But because they didn't detect a Y). If they detect a Y chromosome, you could have two boys or a boy and a girl. My next ultrasound is at 16 weeks so not too much longer to know everything. And it kind of keeps that small element of surprise for a little longer.:)
GTKY: What do you consider your best feature? My hair. You know how girls who have straight hair wish they had curly hair? And girls who have curly hair want straight hair? Well, I get my hair from my dad's side (Italian) and it's thick and wavy. DH says it's the first thing he noticed about me. It's got a little more grey than I remember lately but I still love it.
Re: Thursday Ticker Change
Symptoms: really tired, moody, and growing boobs
