I noticed when I dropped DS off this morning that he was banging on DCP's blinds, and she was like, "Oh yeah, he broke two already." They're wooden blinds and probably in the $20-$50 range. I just said, "Oh, sorry about that. Hey DS, come play with this truck over here instead of banging on the blinds."
Should I have offered to pay for them? Or is that just an incidental cost that DCPs know kids will break things?

Yes, you should pay to replace the blinds
No, you don't need to offer to pay

You don't understand the appeal of Benedict Cumberbatch / think he's fug / don't know who he is? WATCH SHERLOCK. Until you do, your negative opinion of him will not be taken seriously.
I kind of think if he broke them while she was watching him, I don't know if it should be my responsibility to pay.
She hasn't asked me to pay, but I didn't know if I should offer. If I was at someone's house with DS and he broke something, of course I would offer to pay, but since I'm paying her to watch him, I don't know if that changes things.
DH said he might be able to fix them.

Yes she should have redirected but if she is not a trained DCP it probably is not her first thought. Not like if you were taking him to a center.
