AW: 6 Month NICU Follow-Up Today!!

Jacob had his 6 month NICU follow-up clinic today and it went awesome!

First, they weighed him and he was 15 lbs 3.2 oz!!! I was shocked! I knew he was definitely starting to pack on the pounds, but last time he was weighed was the end of October and he was just about 12 pounds!

His chronological age is 9 months 7 days and his adjusted age is 5 months 14 days and they said he is doing amazingly well and they can't believe he was a 24 weeker! They said just glancing at him when they walked in they thought they had the wrong room!

He is having a little trouble with head control (if they try to grasp his hands and pull him up by his arms he drags a little bit) so they want him to start seeing EI every week instead of every month. He is doing great holding his head up during tummy time so they are thinking this is probably just because he has a huge head in proportion to the rest of his body. His head was 75th percentile, weight was 25th and length was 10th based on his adjusted age.

We are thrilled and can't wait to go back in June to see how much further he has come.
