What is good about it or not so good? I saw a baby with one this week and I was intrigued! Looks like something my LO might enjoy but when I looked at the Toys R Us website, the reviews appear to be mixed. TIA!

That thing just looks intense. I don't know if I'd even want to wrangle that.
On a side note, DH found this online today. It's a blog on a balance bike and they suggest using it over a training wheels. Sounds pretty neat when the kiddos get bigger!

We plan on buying one for LO for his 1st birthday. I was looking at the Radio Flyer brand one... it converts into a bunch of different things so I don't think it's a waste of money at all.
I would also like to ask about the 5 in 1 smart trike. The 5th conversion is a shopping cart thing. I'm not sure it would be worth it though. I like the radio flyer ones.
DH got one through work (they give away baby products a lot so he picks up freebies). To be honest, I hate it. We have used it a handful of times. It's somewhat hard to maneuver for the person pushing it, so taking the kid for a walk in it is just annoying. Also, G liked to put his feet on the pedals. If he decides to use his feet to completely turn the front wheel in one direction, it's hard for the person pushing to steer. He did that constantly and it got too frustrating. He already has a tricycle so I haven't bothered to remove the handles and just turn it into a tricycle.
Thanks everyone for your input! I found the Radio Flyer trike on a Canadian retailer's site and tt looks a bit sturdier then the one in my first post. I wanted to purchase it for my daughter's first birthday also!!
Wait until your kid hates the stroller and then get a trike w a parent handle.
@janneann1127 how old is your big one? When we first got the trike w parent handle, our oldest would do the same steering but once he got the hang of it, we used it instead of a stroller all last summer when he was just over 3yo. He looks absolutely silly on it now, though.

@carrotcake06 - He is 3.5. He actually preferred to walk so once he outgrew the stroller, he would just walk. He didn't hate the stroller, though, so I can see if your kid hated the stroller that you might find it a helpful alternative. He also has STILL not gotten the hang of riding a trike. He's just NOT into it.
