C-sections

hoping for a natural birth 4 years after a c section

I'm going that someone could share their story or advice with me. We are pregnant with our 2nd child. With our 4 year old, we had to have an emergency c section. I'm hoping to have a natural birth this time around. Is there anything I can do to help myself and my body to have a natural birth?

I had hoped for a VBAC after my 1st emergency C-section.  Unfortunately, I ended up with a repeat C-section due to not going into labor and he was measuring big all along (which made me less hopefully for a VBAC).

With #1 they used forceps to try and pull him out and he still didn't fit.  I felt like a lot of it had to do with fetal positioning.  I decided to look into ways to improve my chances of having a well positioned baby with #2, so that when I went into labor, he might be easier to deliver.

Here is some info on fetal positioning...

Make sure your OB and hospital both allow VBACs.  I changed practices and hospitals for this pregnancy because the hospital where my son was born has a VBAC ban in place.
  • Thank you so much ladies for your input. I really appreciate it.
