Just want to introduce myself

Hey guys. My wife is on the bump all the time and suggested I stop by to check it out. We had our first 9 months ago. I was going through some pretty tough times so she suggested I turn here. Well I never got around to it until now. No more hard times and absolutely love being a dad to our daughter.

Anyway, I just wanted to throw an Introduction out there.

    Welcome. You should have popped in 9 months ago. There were a lot of dads here then, but there was a rebellion by a fairly new poster and ran everyone off to Facebook. There's a few of us left, but we're all pretty lazy about starting threads. Usually when a few new people join things heat up again so stick around. We're kind of in the rebuilding stage again so we could use some more active posters.

    By the way, I have a 3yo boy and have ID twin girls on the way. They'll probably get here in July. I have completely forgotten what a 9month old is like and girls are very different from boys so I'll be worthless for advice. Feed it, clean it, and put clothes on it is about all I can tell you.

    @polooo27 Thanks for the reply...I will stick around a bit. Im so lucky that I have gotten out of my funk. Turns out being a dad really isn't all that bad. Perhaps I can get some posts started. I will browse around and see what has been posted in the past. If this is all about babies then I may not be so great but if dads are posting about other stuff in general then game on.

    Oh awesome...I did FF for the first time last year and pulled 2nd place. Never played before and never really followed football until then. Looking forward to next season.

    There used to be a "5 Things Thursday" thread where you just post 5 things about whatever you want. Maybe I'll start that up again since the guy who used to do it doesn't pop in as often.

    It's probably 80% guy stuff, 10% baby stuff, and the last 10% is women coming in to get a guy's perspective (that doesn't happen as often as it did though).

    First 6 months are the toughest, then when they start sitting up and doing stuff it gets a little easier.

    I think I came in last place in FF last year.

    Challenge accepted.  I was in 3 FF leagues last year.  I won two, came in 2nd in the other. :)

    I tend to be a two team FF team where I don't really care as much about winning or losing just tracking my teams that I follow in real life.

    Yeah, I was the 5 Thing Thursday guy, and the guy who ran the Fantasy Football last year.   Welcome to the board!
