Cloth Diapering

Fluffy bum on older child

DS is 24 months, and we use pockets. He's in therapy for some delays, and they mentioned that he should be able to pull his pants up and down. Thinking about this, it could also be a major barrier to potty learning. He has so much fluff on his bum, that he can't get his waistband over it to pull his pants up or down. Has anyone else had this problem? Have you switched diapers over it?

Re: Fluffy bum on older child

  • My daughter was never able to pull her pants up over her fluff. As soon as we switched to undies, she never had a problem. We didn't have any issues with her learning to use the toilet on her own.

  • Good to know. Thanks ladies! I'll just keep working on his hand strength so that when the time comes for underwear, he's ready.
