We are going on vacation in July and we were hoping (sorta) to go to calgary.
Alberta has been struggling with a measles outbreak but it has now been a month since Calgary has seen any new cases. Would you go to Calgary?Obviously if any new cases come up then we won't go, no worth the risk.

That's what I thought but my mother disagrees. So I guess we are going. Edmonton is definitely out of the question, they have had 3 new cases this week. My MIL wants to meet up there with my SIL but no freaking way.

I don't know if this sways your decision on when to go but stampede is in the beginning of July.

From what I understand the outbreak was declared for central Alberta but I am only concerned with Calgary and Edmonton, I won't be going to the other places. At this rate I won't be going to Edmonton but no biggie except we are "supposed" to meet up with my SIL there. My SO thinks meeting up in spruce grove or something like that is the answer, uh no. Too close to Edmonton for my liking.
I live in bc, I could get the vaccine with special permission but it is a hassle and why mess with vaccination schedule?
