Herbal teas recommended?

There is so much on the internet it's overwhelming and not sure which site to go off of. Anyone have a tea they recommend? Flavor and brand?

  • I love the Pregnancy Tea by Traditional Medicines. I get it from Target, its not too expensive, and it's herbal and caffeine free. I also love Tazo teas, I'm not sure which are caffeine free off the top of my head, but I like those when I'm making a big pot of tea, because those tea bags make a wickedly strong tea.

  • Hey, so I ran into the same issue, I love drinking tea.. but there aren't too many out there that are safe, stay away from any chamomile, mint, or hibiscus tea- herbal teas in general unless they are MOMMY safe. I know that there are a lot of teas that not only contain caffeine they can also relax your muscle/uterus... so its not safe, MY ADVISE- there is this awesome app OVIA PREGNANCY it has a safety food look up tab and has all kinds of food in there... download it it's really worth it- it's my first pregnancy too so I am a little paranoid before I eat anything..... or drink anything... good luck to you!!!
  • Traditional Medicinals has a pregnancy tea that is good. I read an article once that talked about the purity of several different popular organic tea brands, and they got the highest rating, which I like.
(Fyi, they also have a tea for nursing mommas that is amazing for boosting supply!)

Woah! I apparently completely missed that non-caffeine teas aren't ok! I drink at least 4-5 glasses of peppermint tea every day! Good to know!

  • I thought raspberry leaf was only to be used in last trimester as that's when my midwife told me I can drink it during #1.
So much conflicting info. Hard to know what is or what isn't safe lol

Raspberry tea is a nono until the last trimester! Rosehip tea is safe and full of vitamine C as far as I know
