spotting freak out!!

I just went to the toilet and when i wiped there was a brown blood discharge. I know that spotting is normal but i have never had spotting or had anything like this before and this is my 4th pregnancy so i have no idea is this is just normal spotting or if its something else. Its 10.30 pm here so i cant call the doctor till the morning and i don't want to go to A&E for something thats nothing. I have no cramping or anything and it has not got any worse. Has anyone else had anything like this before?

I bled a little bit after sex when I was pregnant with DS, it was only once, pretty early on. Freaked FI out for a while, but it was nothing to be concerned about. I would say if you continue to bleed or start feeling cramps, to definitely make a call to your doctor. Or, call anyway just to ease your mind. That's what they're there for!

When is your next appt? If you are worried, you could call your dr when they are in the office. FX it is normal!

Thats good to know. I will call them first thing as i wont settle properly till i speak to a doctor. Thankyou for your feedback, Its very helpful and comforting hearing from someone who has experianced something like this.

I haven't even been for my first appointment yet. I thought you were supposed to go at around 8 weeks so i haven't even booked one in. OMG 4th pregnancy and i'm still crap at this

If you search the board a bit you can see how many posts there of of ladies who have or are experiencing this. Might make you feel a bit better knowing how common it can be. I would put a call in to your doctor regardless just to be safe. Spotting can mean so many different kinds of things. FX its nothing!

I had this same issue yesterday and it's gotten worse overnight into today. I have my first u/s today. I'll let you know what they say/how it goes. FX

So I went in today after similar issues to you (and no cramps either) and saw the sac/heartbeat. So even though I was spotting- baby is still there. Hopefully same for you! Did you get ahold of your doctor yet?

Just sending some reassurance. I spotted a little on Monday (tan/pink) again on Tuesday, and then had some heavy (like beginning of period) once this am. I thought I was going to faint. We were scheduled for our viability ultrasound today. I was convinced we were out. We saw/heard a very healthy heartbeat. The baby is right on track at 7 weeks. I don't think I took a breath all morning. My re said that spotting was very common, and sometimes they don't know what causes it. In my case, she thinks it is from am adhesion causes by crinone (progesterone suppository). Returning again next week for reassurance, but she said she was very reassured to see everything looked ok. Hoping the same for you. Please keep us posted. In the meantime, sending you T&P.

Thank you all so much for responding. I went to see doc today. He seemed to be not concerned at all but has sent me for the hgc test just to be sure. Problem with that is you have to have the 2 tests 48 hours apart which makes it Saturday and there closed so now I have to wait till Friday afternoon to take it so I can do the second one early mo day then go back to see him on Tuesday morning for results. I have had a little bit more of the discharge today but its still brown with no cramping so fingers crossed . Its going to be a very long weekend
