I've read lot of recommendations to pump one breast while LO feeds from the other. DD will usually feed from both sides. Maybe 2 or 3 feedings a day she only eats from one side, but then she's usually hungry about 1.5 hours later. So in that case, should I still pump the breast she doesn't eat from if I know it'll be more than 3 hours since she ate from that side? For example: Today she ate at 12:30pm, only from the left. It had been about 2.5 hours since her previous feeding(both sides). Then at 1:45 she was hungry again so I fed her from the right. But by then it had been 4 hours since she last fed from that side. Should I have pumped at the 12:30 feeding, even just for 10 min? I don't want my supply to decrease, but I also don't want to deal with over supply. Any suggestions? FYI: DD is 3 weeks old and my goal right now is just to pump enough to have 1 bottle to feed her everyday (as per my pediatrician). I hope my question makes sense, thanks for any advice ladies!
