Growing up we always had our own tubes. It wasn't until my current relationship that I learned members of households actually share tubes of toothpaste. Seems so strange to me.
I voted SS, we have separate tubes now but we shared a tube until I switched to hippy toothpaste. He doesn't mind it but can't quite get behind the lack of foam.
We have no problem sharing but I brush my teeth in the bath off our bedroom and he brushes his in the other bathroom, so we use separate tubes just because of that.
I didn't know ppl did used separate ones. Seems like it would just take up extra counter/ drawer space. I thought this question was going to ask if we kept it on the counter or in the fridge.....that's how tired I am.
That's the other thing. Toothbrushes and toothpaste never stay in the bathroom. My mom was anal about feces flying around after you poop. That stuff always stays in a draw in your bedroom.

This is us. DH and I use seperate bathrooms for everything. Think it's because we both came from having our own homes and own spaces. Maybe we'll share when there are more kids.
We share. 7 yr old has her own and now baby has his. Our toilet has a seperation door so our toothbrushes are by the sink. But toothpaste in the fridge??? Someone please explain lol
Also he likes to use whitening toothpaste and the peroxide apparently makes the skin inside my mouth peel (TMI?) so now we don't even use the same kind.

We keep our toothbrushes and toothpaste in a little drawer that our vanities have. But either way most homes I've visited keep the toothbrushes & toothpaste on the counter. @MommyKristin88 I need to have a talk with your momma...

This is one of her wacky notions, that has actually been studied. I don't have time to find more articles right now, but here's one about it:
