Baby wearing... Need opinion

I know there are lots of threads on this but I have an specific question. I have a moby I like it it's kind of difficult because it's always dragging and it's getting too hot for it. I want the maya sling or the mei tai. Both reviews are great but I only want to buy one .. Which would you get or do you have.

  • I have a Maya Ring Sling. I love it. It takes some practice but it's great.

Do you feel the baby is very secure? That's the only thing I'm nervous about . It read that it felt like you have to keep one hand in LO at all times
  • If you like the moby, you should try this one:

Someone here posted it a while back and I ordered one as well. It's so nice! Very lightweight for summer and will come in handy when we go to pool with DD1.

I have slings, wraps, carriers, and a Mei Tai. The Mai Tei is my favorite. It's easy to tie and I know the baby is secure.

  • I have the mei tei...I've only used it once but LO didn't like it, however she had just had her shots the previous day.

I tried it again yesterday and at the advice of fellow bumpies, I folded the bottom once when doing the first step of putting it on.  This helped LO to sit higher up and not slump down into me and she was much happier.  We'll need to try it a few more times at home before I'm confident to try it in public again, but I'm optimistic.  It was very comfortable for me, and LO seemed very secure, no need to keep a hand on her once she was tied in.  It seemed like it will also be much cooler, unlike the Baby K'tan that we tried before.

Love my Mei tie!  He is such a happy baby in it.  It does get warm though, so I strip him down!  I'll probably end up making one in a cooler material when summer really hits.

I find he is very secure in it.
