QOTD: Do you have any other kids at home (or furkids)? Are you excited and/or a little nervous to have them meet the babies?
Re: *Tues 5/27 Twin Mom Check In*
Both are doing well- Hugsy is up to 5#11oz (from his birth weight of 4#15oz) and he is eating like a champ. Mumble is up to 4#10oz (birth weight 4#2oz), she needs lots more coaxing to eat. Also both are struggling with constipation, which is so hard to watch- and we are on a prune juice regimen.
We are still doing weekly weight checks but their pediatrician is thinking after their 1 month appointment we might be able to go to the regular schedule.
AFM, I'm adjusting well I think. More later, babies fussing.

2) Upcoming appts? Thursday, my typical OB and ultrasound.
3) Any updates to share? These boys are already killing me.
4) Go ahead and let it out - how are you REALLY feeling? Just.... bitchy. And itchy. In lots of pain, every move they make hurts. Going to bring it up at my OB appointment. SO ready to be done.
5) Any questions for other twin moms?
Are you thinking of doing a double stroller side by side? Or one in front of the other? I feel terrible cuz thats one thing i haven't bought yet. A stroller. Ugh.
QOTD: Do you have any other kids at home (or furkids)? Are you excited and/or a little nervous to have them meet the babies? No current furbabies or kids. DH wants to introduce a ferret or pitbull into the mix though. (We used to have 4 ferrets and then moved and weren't allowed to have them.) But idk how I feel about having 2 newborns AND a pet.
QOTD: we have a cat... Who I think is doing ok now. She adored me being on bedrest and spent tons f time in the nursery prior to them coming home. When Hugsy came home she spent a few days peeing on the rubber mat outside her litter box like se does when she is mad we go out of town...and seemed more put out and confused when Mumble came home but we changed out all her litter and no more peeing escapades, so not really sure if it was the babies coming home or she wanted fresher litter or what. Now she spends lots of time in the nursery during the day, especially if I am in there but refuses to sleep in there (even though H and I are on the futon in there still). Trying to give her lots of love and snuggles whenever I can.
@CJnKR2014 we went back and forth on the stroller issue and I "test drove" so many in store before deciding I thought a SBS was the way to go. I know it's wide but I was worried about them outgrowing the tandem sooner (no room for the legs of the kid inthe back), plus figured fewer opportunities to kick each other/ pull each other's hair the better. We ended up finding a SBS in excellent condition on Craigslist for a steal. We do also have the Joovy Twin Roo to use for now when in car seats.

1) How far along are you and how far along are you measuring? 36 weeks. Not sure how far I am measuring…I think I am still a bit smaller because I lost weight, but my belly is starting to torpedo out.
2) Upcoming appts? NST and prenatal visit on Friday. Tuesday I have my last NST and doppler check at the MFM.
3) Any updates to share? I had a growth scan yesterday and both girls look very healthy with great fluid and placentas. They are estimated to be 5 lbs 2 oz and 5 lbs 4 oz. My baby A is actually bigger now, but B keeps turning from vertex to transverse and back so I am still planning a c-section. My date is June 5- one week from tomorrow!!
4) Go ahead and let it out - how are you REALLY feeling? I feel horrible. Every day I think it can't get worse and it does. I did not know it was possible to be in such pain in a sitting position, but it is…I basically can only lay down now. And I feel like a selfish person all the time and basically am expecting the world to revolve around me. I need daily help with my kids now and I panic if I don't get it because it is so hard being home alone. I basically beg my water to break every time I stand up (but am also terrified to go into labor since I am planning a c-section).
5) Any questions for other twin moms? What is everyone's feeding plan? Breast/pump/formula/etc? Combo? I am hoping to breastfeed and supplement maybe one feeding with formula, but we will see how everyone does!
QOTD: Do you have any other kids at home (or furkids)? Are you excited and/or a little nervous to have them meet the babies? I have a 4 year old DD and a 2 year old DS. I am really excited for DD; I think she will be in heaven. I am nervous for DS because I think he will be jealous and not understand that he can't be rough. I am also nervous about not giving them adequate attention when we are in survival mode.

I feel bad cuz all I do is complain nowadays, and I know it makes DH pissy and I definitely don't complain as much to him as I do to you all!! Thanks for accepting my bitching :P
How is everything going?
Jack and I were discharged on Tuesday but Lennon had not gotten the ok to leave with us from the NICU. She was able to get her feeding tube out and they wanted to monitor her feeds for 24 hours. So needless to say DH and I stalked the NICU every time Jack had his feedings to see how Lennon did with hers. We called at 8am this morning and her nurse said she was just getting ready to call us because the doctor gave our little lady the ok to go home!!
Unfortunately I started to get really dizzy tonight and checked my BP and it was 170/107 so I earned myself a trip back to the hospital. They ran bloodwork and monitored me for a few hours and sent me home. Bloodwork was fine and my BP was still high but dropped enough and stayed consistent. I have my OB appointment on Friday to have my stables removed and probably schedule an appointment with a specialist because they don't know why BP is still not dropping by 5 days post OP. UGH!!! I had to leave my babies with my husband tonight and balled the whole way to the hospital. Luckily I have an amazing BFF who came over to give my DH an extra hand ❤️
Babies have their first doctors appointment tomorrow!
QOTD: Do you have any other kids at home (or furkids)? Are you excited and/or a little nervous to have them meet the babies?
We have 2 dogs and a cat. My parents are still watching one dog and my FIL is watching the other until Friday so we are able to get the babies situated. I'm not sure how they are going to react. The cat sniffed them and then runs and hides - I'm sure she will come around.
Edit because of a scheduling conflict lol
