When and how do you clip LO's nails?
A friend told me her little one (10.5 months) just sits there and lets her do it. I don't believe her.

While he's sleeping.

I try to do it after LO is out for the night. He usually nurses to sleep.
I tried to do it another time when he was tired but just sitting on my lap. NOPE. [-X

T just sits there when I cut hers. I use the little scissors instead of clippers.

I sit him in my lap, bounce him around, give him a toy and can cut a few nails. Repeat until all nails are cut.

Usually when he's sleeping. Toes are harder even when he's sleeping. Once in a blue moon he let's me do it while sitting there.

I just figured out this weekend that it's much easier to clip his toenails when he's sitting in his high chair, distracted by whatever is on the tray.

I picked "2 man job" because DH usually clips LO's fingernails while she's BF'ing. We haven't had to clip her toenails yet - they don't seem to grow very fast!

Distraction with a toy or bottle. I keep the clippers out and do a few every day.

I chose distraction but it really depends.... usually he sits there and we try to distract him but he watches me cut them anyways lol At some point he starts wiggling and we up the distraction

For LP the distraction is watching me clip them. She's so fascinated by it that as long as she can see what I'm doing she sits still.

This. It's easy. He just sits there.

Now my almost 3 year kid is a completely different story. You'd think we were taking pliers and removing the while nail the way he freaks out! Sometime around 18 months he hated getting nails cut.

SS: I just file them. He lets me do it easily. Easier than a damn diaper changes. He let's me pick his toenails.

I said au natural bc I'm scarred from a bad clipping experience a few weeks ago., I refuse to use a clipper ever again so I suspect we are jumping on the chew/bite train..
