Ok, this happened over a decade ago. All involved parties are more mature now but it comes up every now and then and still no one will admit wrong doing. So, if a loved one took a picture of you half naked on the toilet mid wipe, laughed at the photo and then refused to delete it and said you were overreacting. What would be your most likely reaction in that moment?

Somewhere between options 2 and 3. It depends on if I was physically able to take the camera away or if the person doing the bullying was a giant.

I voted too quickly. I chose to use force to get the camera, but really, I think I would pretend to be cool with it, and then sneakily get the camera away, delete the photo, and take an even more embarassing one of the perpetrator.

I am not sure what I would do. It's really shitty (no pun intended?) if the person won't get rid of the pic.

Yes it really happened to me, twice actually. The first time was my sister with a Polaroid camera! This time was while DH and I were dating. It was almost a deal breaker, but I made sure it was the only incident like it ever.

I did #3. Picture is gone.

After taking the camera away, I would also be very sure to lock the door when I had to use the bathroom. I can't imagine this happening twice!

Yeah, but that doesn't sound like a very comparable situation. Especially since the subject of the photo in your story is in on the joke, not the butt of it.

I love this language. I think reaction has a lot to do with it. Like, if you calmly said "I feel violated and exposed" I think that language makes more of an impact then just getting angry and yelling. (ETA: I'm not saying that my default reaction wouldn't be anger, but I do think it is less impactful.)

I don't think it matters what other people are comfortable with- if you are not okay with it then that's all that should matter.

We were young and on vacation across the country so we were stuck together and had to work it out (i.e. pretend the terrible awful never happened). He was pretty much affronted by my insta rage and then it became an I'm mad at you for being mad at me situation. I let it go because the photo would have been deleted eventually I'm sure. If not with an apology, then certainly by me later because I usually download all the trip photos. And at no time have I felt that exposed since.

Now my sister on the other hand growing up was just an evil little twit altogether, but thankfully she's changed.

I guess since it was DH and he still wanted to marry you after watching you wipe you ass. And more importantly, you still married him.... I'd forget about it.

That being said, I'm not sure I would've married him.
