oh no..just realized I am doing something wrong!

I pump then supplement with formula...have been since almost day 1. I will keep the BM separate, but with the formula part I have been putting the bottle back in the fridge if DD hasn't finished it all. Then at the next feeding I will warm the bottle under stream of hot water and add some mixed formula to that then feed.

I just read online to never give a past bottle to LO if they haven't finished it due to micro-organisms....I feel so guilty!!

    Yup! Start with a fresh formula bottle each feeding :)

    Fresh bottle every time. If they haven't finished the BM or the formula within an hour dump it.

    I maybe get 4 ounces a day of BM so I want her to finish every last drop! Wondering if it's better to fed her that first and then make another bottle of formula nearby to pop that in her mouth right after??

    You can reuse the BM just not the formula. Kelly mom says 2hrs, we reused BM up to 6hrs with DD1 and nothing bad ever happened. I couldn't bear to have him dump my liquid gold.

    Yeah you can do that with breast milk but not formula, which is why some people don't like to mix them.

    Shit, I've been reusing BM if she doesn't finish a bottle. I keep it around a couple of hours  since she's a snacker. We've been okay so far but now I feel guilty. I guess I at least should start putting it in the fridge.

    I reuse BM all the time. It's too precious to waste. Just offer the BM first and the formula separately after and you probably won't even have to worry about reusing the BM. No harm, No foul. Don't beat yourself up!
