Bedrest care package?

Hi! One of my coworkers went into preterm labor at 28 weeks, and after some scary times in the hospital, she's at home on bedrest for as long as her little girl will stay put! I wanted to get a little care package together for her but after trashy magazines, I got kind of stuck. Does anyone have any suggestions? TIA!

I appreciated books, magazines, snacks I could keep by the bed and open easily. Does she have any other kids? One of the biggest things some friends did for me was taking turns coming over and helping around the house with laundry and stuff. My MIlL gifted us with a cleaning service so if you could get people together that would be great.

Personally, I would stay away from any baby related items. When you're baby's life is potentially on the line you don't want to be staring at all this baby stuff hoping your baby will be able to use it all. That's just my two cents.

I agree with helping with the house chore related stuff. I was on bedrest for 4 months so when my coworkers offered to help cook/buy dinner it was awesome. I don't know if she has any hobbies she can do while in bed, but I cross stitched a lot. Thank goodness for technology cause I spent a lot of time on the laptop-so I also agree with Amazon, itunes gift card. Prayers that baby stays put for as long as possible!

I was on bedrest from weeks 29-35 for preterm labor. I could get up to go to the bathroom only. Some things that were helpful:
Grocery delivery
Housecleaning!!
Grooming stuff--maybe send someone to give her a mani/pedi or give her fun new nailpolish
Comfy lounge clothes. Even though I was on bedrest, I got dressed every day. It was important to me to pull myself together.
If this is her first baby, gift cards so she can shop online for baby. I did a ton of shopping from Amazon and Target.com
Pretty journal
New sheets or blanket. :-)
