Vaginal Pain

Hi all moms and moms-to-be!

I am 32 weeks along now and over the weekend felt a huge decrease in movement from baby. I called my doctor and he sent me straight to labor and delivery to make sure everything was ok. Baby was perfectly healthy, just in breech position and that's why they said I couldn't hardly feel the movements anymore. They did a pelvic exam just to make sure I wasn't dilating as well and I wasn't. I also had a few pains over the weekend that spread from my lower abs to what feels like my hoo-ha. Since the pelvic exam I have been feeling the pains still. I don't think they are contractions because I don't feel my uterus tightening-just a shooting pain through my vagina. Has anyone else experienced this? As I said, I am not convinced it's contractions, but this is my first baby so I am just not sure.

My baby is head down already, but I know the type of pain you're talking about. I get them a couple times a day, and the way it feels to me is like lightning has struck my lady bits. I haven't had any BH yet (that I am aware of) but the sensation I'm feeling I think is too low to be BH.

I intend to ask my doctor about what's causing it on my appointment Friday, but I suspect maybe it's baby or something hitting a nerve. Dr. Google hasn't really helped explain so I'm going to wait for a professional.

Lightning crotch is super uncomfortable but comes with later pregnancy. Less movement happens as they change position or run out of room. Cramps and BH are also fairly normal and can come together or separately. All totally normal but can also be unnerving the first time they happen. Google lightning crotch.
