When did you notice colostrum?

About 3 weeks ago I noticed that I'm already producing a fair amount of cloudy colostrum. Anyone else start in the 2nd tri?

I didn't notice it until 35 weeks with my first and I haven't had any yet this pregnancy.

All I've found this time was some crusties on my nipples. Last time I had obvious dried spots in my bra cups at the end of the day... sometime in the 20 weeks, after my anatomy scan and before I was 30 wks, I'm certain.

thought I'd be quite a hot leaky mess this time (quit BFing about a year ago), but SO FAR I think it's less than it was before.

No leaky boobs yet! I squeezed on a tit one time after my BF class to mimic the motion of how the baby was suppose to maneuver and a tiny bit of clear liquid came out, but nothing since... Still waiting

Nothing yet but I never leaked with DS so I didn't expect to this time. Literally nothing came out of my boobs until a good 5 days after having him, not even colostrum.

Mine started around 27 weeks. So far it only comes out if I squeeze them, which I try to avoid so as not to tempt fate and bring on full-on leakage.

Im surprised at how many of you havnt leaked. I started leaking massive amounts at 13 weeks, to the point where my OB was a bit concerned about preterm labor. I am still leaking sometimes its clear or cloudy, or yellow ish, through my bra and shirt all day everyday.

I'm surprised too! I'm not leaking through shirts or anything, but I can hand express a good bit. What has your OB told you to do about the leakage? Is hand expressing something we should or shouldn't do?

I started leaking about a month ago or so, but it seems to have lessened. It was just a drop here or there.

Last week was the first time saw it after getting up in the middle of the night (29 weeks). It was just a little bit and it was cloudy.

Personally I wasn't sure whether I should label it as TMI or not to be honest. People around where I live have all expressed feelings of "gross" whenever breast milk or colostrum comes up. I'm not sure why, because frankly I'm interested as heck in it and I often find myself wanting to talk about it. The general aversion to anything breast related has got me hesitant though.

No leakage, but I can squeeze a little bit out. I don't remember when it started, but it was definitely a lot earlier with this pregnancy than last pregnancy.

I'm hoping that is a good sign. My milk didn't come in until 9 days PP with DD. I had serious supply issues.

@artgeek009‌ I never asked about the expressing question, I do know its not good though since it has something to do with realising some hormones that can bring on labor, like how we are not suppose to use a breast pump yet, or nipple stimulation.

Yesterday I posted that I hadn't had any this pregnancy, well last night after my shower I was leaking a little bit. It was only a few drops and was a creamy cloudy color.

Ah. Don't worry @artgeek09, anything feeding related is pretty much accepted here. If you'd hesitate sharing it with your DH/SO (OMG, I had the WORST chunky diarrhea last night!!! Let me describe it to you so you can understand...) than that's something that you might want to stick a TMI warning on. Natural stuff, like feeding-related, mentioning poop (without graphic descriptions!) and the like are fine.

Colostrum? That stuff is liquid gold.

I've had an occasional spot on the inside of my bra cup or dried cream-colored stuff on my nipples since around late first tri-mester. It slowed down but has started to happen more recently ~27 weeks.

First noticed it last week (27) after a rough night trying to get my DD to sleep in a hotel room. I wasn't wearing a bra that night (and there was a lot of crying on both parts)....ever since then I've been wearing a bra almost 24/7 which is keeping it at bay. Leaking is the worst IMO. And calm down body - I've got 12 weeks to go.

I have noticed some dried creamy colored crust (ick) on my nipples a handful of times over the last 10 weeks or so, but I've never noticed any actual leaking. My nipples have been really sore lately, though.

I started noticing a little leakage around week 25. The other day some girlfriends came over before they went out to the bar as I was getting ready for bed and I started leaking all over my shirt out of nowhere! It was pretty embarrassing, but they honestly didn't care. It's not ever an abundance, just some spots here and there.

I've never leaked during pregnancy and I honestly didn't leak postpartum more than a handful of times, usually dealing with getting supply figured out in those early weeks. I'm not sure if it's just because i've never had oversupply or if these jugs are just large enough to keep from spilling over.

Although I did full on spray one time during sex about 3 months PP. DH leaned his arm just right across one breast and caught us both off guard. lol That was memorable.
