I am 32 weeks along now and over the weekend felt a huge decrease in movement from baby. I called my doctor and he sent me straight to labor and delivery to make sure everything was ok. Baby was perfectly healthy, just in breech position and that's why they said I couldn't hardly feel the movements anymore. They did a pelvic exam just to make sure I wasn't dilating as well and I wasn't. I also had a few pains over the weekend that spread from my lower abs to what feels like my hoo-ha. Since the pelvic exam I have been feeling the pains still. I don't think they are contractions because I don't feel my uterus tightening-just a shooting pain through my vagina. Has anyone else experienced this? As I said, I am not convinced it's contractions, but this is my first baby so I am just not sure.
I get a lot of random shooting pains in the vag, aka lightning crotch. It's from baby kicking or putting pressure on a nerve. Sometimes it's so bad it stops me in my tracks. You could also be feeling ligament/stretchy pains. I get pretty bad RLP too sometimes.
But if you are feeling pains at what seem like regular intervals, or they are accompanied by cramping or tightening feelings, you should call your doctor to be one the safe side. Or anytime you are worried or feel like something isn't right--go ahead and call.

I had the same pains after sitting on an airplane all day. That night and the following few days I had this tight sensation that was like a rubber band stretching from my abdomen to my pelvic area. I walked it off and haven't had it since. Like PP said, it's all the pressure on your pelvis and sciatic nerve.
