Every only I know is wonderful!

Contrary to the stereotype of "spoiled rotten onlies", every only I know happens to be wonderful! They are not spoiled and they stand on their own merit. My friend and her father are both onlies, and they are amazing people and very hard workers. Her daughter, as well, is HER only (although she has half-siblings through her father) and she is an exceptionally well-behaved little girl!! Someone said this once and I fully agree: if an only is raised as if (s)he were the youngest child, (s)he will be spoiled and bratty. If an only is raised as if (s)he were the oldest child, (s)he will be a great person.
