Britax marathon leg straps

We just installed our britax marathon and it seems like the leg straps are awkwardly placed... Anyone else have this issue?

We moved up from the britax bsafe and those leg straps were over my LOs hips but the marathon seems to be over the top of her thighs. They made red marks both times we have used it. Are we doing something wrong? My LO is 7 mo and 13.5 lbs, 25 inches tall...

    What crotch buckle position are you using? Your manual will tell you what position to use based on the child's size. That could change the placement of the straps. Also, bump up the chest clip a tad :)

    The buckle must be on the inside slot position for rear-facing installation.The straps on the leg look fine to me, though I agree you should move the chest clip up a bit. And just make sure you have the shoulder harness at or below her shoulders.

    Looks like you may need to pull the straps tighter around his legs.  To do this, take the baby out and move the crotch buckle clips closer to the crotch buckle.  And as PP mentioned, make sure the crotch buckle is in the most inward position.
