Our babies arrived at 33 weeks!
Just a quick post here to let you all know our twins arrived Saturday May 24th...sorry for the formatting as I am on our iPad in the hospital and cannot figure formatting out!
Long story short, I had horrendous back pain Wednesday, but only on one side. Baby girl was low and on that side and on my bladder as going to the bathroom had become very difficult. After not being able to find any relief in any position, DH and I called the exchange. My OB told me to head to the hospital just to get checked, but thought it was a UTI or kidney infection.
At the hospital we were shocked to learn I was 2 1/2 cm dialated and contracting regularly...was admitted and started on magnesium and given my first steroid shot. Not going to lie...magnesium was awful, made me so sick, could not keep anything down...but it worked and I got my second steroid shot in. Once they took me off the magnesium, labor did not start back immediately so we thought we maybe had bought some more cooking time and bed rest...was not to be as it came back strong, and I progressed to 4-5 cm dialated and was told a csection was in an hour!
Lillian Christine was born breach at 4:52am, followed by Harrison James at 4:53am who was transverse, but was pulled out breach. Both made a cry that made this scared Momma thank God...
Lillian is 18 1/2 inches long, 5 lbs even...Harrison is 18 inches even and 5 lbs 1 oz...so decent size for babies who only crossed 33 weeks thanks to magnesium!
Both are in the NICU, doing relatively well...our Harrison is struggling a bit more than Lillian...I got to hold Lillian yesterday for the first time...hopefully Harrison will follow soon!
July mommas...I know we were all uncomfortable...but I would give anything to still be there...being a Momma to two premature babies and knowing I am leaving them here in a few days breaks my heart, even though I know we are lucky and they will do well.
Every worry, pain everything is worth it...my beautiful babies are all I can think about now!!

We lost our beautiful Twin baby girls on June 18, 2014. Tavin Sara and Casey Elizabeth were born at 21 weeks gestation and were absolutely beautiful, precious, amazing babies. We miss our daughters every day and love them with all our hearts.

H was born at 41w2d on 12/29/12 - be still my heart!
#2 IVF/ICSI 1/19/14 = 2 x 8 cells transferred (3dt) = BFP!! EDD 10/09/14
M&W born at 37 weeks on 9/18/14 - I am the momma of 3 boys!!!
