1. DS and his obsession with socks finally paid off. I was sorting laundry earlier and found two pairs of his socks on the floor matched. (They have color blocking at the heels and toes, so I guess he was matching the colors). Amazing.
2. He has a plastic train that lights up and plays music. I usually keep it hidden, but he found it yesterday to play with it for the first time in months. At a point, he started whining and fussing to me, pointing at the speaker. So, I turned it off, and he continued to roll it around happy as can be. Can I get a hallelujah?
3. Last night after I went to bed and was settling in to sleep, he adjusted his position and said "uh-oh" in his sleep. I find that equally precious and terrifying.
Aww, Frenchie!!! That is the cutest thing I've heard in a while.
We got E sandals this weekend. I prefer the kind that fasten over the toes and around the ankle, like what was shown in the sandals thread last week.
DH picked out flip flops. *sigh* He so rarely puts any opinion on what the kids wear, I indulged. They're a little too big, so they come off his feet. While we were outside this weekend, E's sandal came off. He growled at it, sat on his diaper, picked up his sandal and put it back on his foot. Sideways.
1. We spent most of the weekend in the car. DS is becomming obsessed with pointing out cars and trucks with an awesome "brrmm brrmm" noise.
2. We went out for ice cream with friends and let DS try ice cream for the second time ever. He was frantically bouncing in his highchair, mouth open, turning to each one of us in turn for a bite of our sundaes.
E has gotten so annoying about ice cream, DH and I don't have any until he is in bed. Otherwise he's like a little bird, squealing with his mouth open the entire time we're trying to eat!
Last night, we were reading "Time for Bed" by Mem Fox before DS went to sleep. It's his favorite bedtime book. After we finished reading it once, we went back through the pages and I would ask DS to point at the various animals and say night-night. "Point to the deer! Say night-night, deer." He did it for a few pages, pointing at the animals and then waving bye-bye to them.
Then I got to the dog page. I said, "Point to the puppy dog! Say night-night, puppy dog!." Instead of pointing to the page, DS pointed into the hallway at our dog and waved bye-bye with fervor.
Jackson has started "asking" us questions. They're still unintelligible, but he holds his arms out and up like "what the heck?" while he's doing it and has the perfect question intonation.

The toilet ones remind me of how DD1 used to grab a piece of toilet paper and "wipe" her bottom while I was going. And then there was the time when I had newborn DD2 on the changing table to change her and felt something touch my butt. I turned around and DD1 had torn off a little bitty piece of toilet paper and was trying to wipe me (with my jeans on).

DD does this too! So cute.
Remember how I said DD was calling the peacocks at the zoo "cocks" and shouting it over and over? Another unfortunate mispronunciation: she found a stick in out yard, and when DH told her it was a stick, she shouted "Dick!"
And a couple of days ago, she was sitting on the coun next to our dog and I asked if she wanted to give him a hug. She put an arm around is neck and rested her head against his head. My heart pretty much exploded on the spot. He's gotten so good with her, now every time she comes over to him, he rolls on to his back so she can rub his tummy. :-)
@Pinesnow - it literally made my day watching him. Pictures don't do it justice. He got the biggest grin on his face when he got his finger inside. For the rest of the day, he was poking his fingers in all his other food.
DD will not give front hugs, but she does do sneak attack back hugs. This morning I was on the floor looking at some paperwork, and she was hovering around me giving me back hugs. It's like she doesn't want to be caught being affectionate, haha. She will also hug our legs, which she did a few times today.

DS uses the fingertip method for eating shells and cheese, but the raspberries take the cake, man. Adorable.
I'm sure we'll be seeing a lot more "fingertip method" around now. As DH said "that's what boys do - stick their fingers in things".....
