I love nothing more than discussing.. and eating. cheese. I just had 4 OZ of fresh Mozzarella cheese (the sliced up kind by Bel Gioioso) My day just got a million times better. I think it cheers everyone up... Am I right? Or am I right?

  • both of these things sound amazing. I just have to eat cheese daily. I'm pretty sure pasta smothered in freshly grated parmasan will be for dinner mmmmmmm

    My stomach is also growling!

  • Vermont cheddar on my burger tonight. So good.

This seems an apt place to lodge my complaint today: I don't like how TB rounds up the love tit count on my account page. It's like a big huzzah and then, no, fuck you, we rounded up by 137 love tits. Keep waiting.

  • Cheese is amazing.... It makes bad food taste good. I currently have two kinds of cheese, Armstrong cheddar and feta. My dinner also has cheese in it as I am eating lasagna.

  • My new obsession is the blueberry covered goat cheese log from Trader Joe's. It tastes straight up like cheesecake. My mom and I devoured a log in less than an hour on our beach vacation. I have another in my fridge now awaiting consumption.

Last fall (I think?) they had an apple cinnamon covered one. O.M.F.G.

I had two slices of cheddar today. How exciting is that?
  • But you can't forget the balsamic. Seriously, delish.

  • Cheese stuffed brats for dinner and four cheese potatoes to go with it.  YUM!

  • Last summer when I went home to Jersey there was a guy in Shop Rite who was making fresh mozzarella right in the middle of the store.  He gave us each a sample and it was still warm!  Somehow the store bought stuff just doesn't taste as good anymore. :(

Evidently exciting enough to tell us about it twice. :)
Haha I'm blaming it on mobile bumping!!! ;)
  • I had some mozzarella string cheese earlier...
And four cheese mashed potatoes with dinner. We marinated chicken breasts in italian dressing and lots of parmesan cheese tonight and cooked them on the grill. AH-MAZE-ING!

  • Weight Watchers had a recipe for a homemade Danish that consisted of whole wheat bread, blueberries, ricotta cheese, and splenda. I use feta instead of ricotta, because that's what I bought by accident one time. It's yummy. Whatever feta I don't use on the Danish, I just eat right out of the tub.

  • I tasted the most interesting cheese at EarthFare here recently...it was the Barely Buzzed by Beehive cheese. Espresso and lavendar rubbed. Two of my favorite loves together, coffee and cheese, with just a little floral hint to it. Try it if you see it!

  • I thought getting a cheese plate in France would be a good idea. Oh my fucking god no, it was the most revolting thing I ever had in my life. The cheese was like crackled around the edges and gooey and runny in the middle and it tasted like rotten feet. H will eat ANYTHING and he threw up in his mouth a little from the cheese. There were 5 kinds and they were ALL HORRIBLE.

Fast forward to the mozzarella we had in Italy: OMG. I can't. It was heavenly. Caprese here will never taste the same.
  • This thread is amazing. I had some brie with raspberry jam on crusty french bread for lunch.

@katydid2014, that TJ's blueberry goat cheese concoction might be the best thing that ever happened to me. I can take down a whole one in a day and I'm not ashamed to admit it.

Brie and really any kind of cracker/bread is my weakness!
I'm no cheese expert so I might be doing it all wrong, but I also love hard, light colored cheeses with white wine... I'm pretty sure that's whats for dinner every CD1.

Oh man, really??  That's the opposite of my experience!  We got some brie and crusty bread in France... delish.  And the cheese the used on their ham and cheese sandwiches was magical.  Now I'm hungry for brie and croissants.

Just FYI, everyone: the about.com (Southern Food) recipe for scalloped potatoes is outstanding.  I made it for dinner a couple weeks ago... so much better than the boxed stuff I'd been making for years.  I highly recommend it.
