Can I Gate Check a Pack n Play?

Has anyone successfully done this?

Buying a new one at my destination is not a good option since I'm going to be in three different locations so I'd be buying three new pack n plays, and I'm not staying at a hotel or somewhere that might have cribs available, so I really need the pack n play. But I'm afraid it will be damaged in transit and feel like gate checking might lessen it's being thrown around.

    Check the airlines policies or give them a call. I doubt you can gate check it but might be able to have it as your carry on if it meets the dimensions. But most airlines are pretty good with checking car seats and strollers and such in marked bags.

    Some airlines baby stuff is free. I know my SIL said she would take the inside of the pack n play out of the case and stuff it with diapers and clothes to get more in there. 

    I am flying Jet Blue in 2 weeks and unless you pay for an infant seat they can't check anything. Just the stroller and carseat allowed to check at the gate.
