AW: Went to the Urologist today!

We had a post-op appointment today!

Doctor says everything looks good. Apparently we have the cleanest cast he's ever seen, so that's awesome. He took out the catheters that were going from his ureters through his urethra, and they'll take out the other one(It's at the top of his bladder) next week.
He's starting to look mostly normal down there too- I assume y'all don't want to see his junk, but the swelling from surgery is gone and he looks great!
He's getting the cast off and the catheter taken out on the 28th. We can treat him like a "normal baby" after that so I can wear him and use my cloth diapers! FINALLY.

He will need anther surgery around 2-4 years to work on the ureters and bladder neck, but we don't really know when until we see how he does and how the bladder grows. But he did say that nearly all BE patients need this surgery. It's just the way it is.

Also! Another patient of his is interested in starting an exstrophy group in Atlanta, so he's going to contact her and give her my email. So that will be awesome. I did find a BE group on facebook, but it will be nice to have people IRL too. :)
