Exactly, need to talk to your dr. I went off mine (slowly planned weaning) but plan on starting right up again once baby is born. It really depends on each individual.
I was on Prozac and my doctor told me flat out to stop taking it. I've been alright without it, but if you feel that you need to be taking meds ask your doctor to prescribe whatever is best for a pregnant woman.
This was a surprise and I had started zoloft about the same time. Zoloft (unlike Prozac) is considered safe. Since I have two kids already I decided to continue through the rough 1st tri then wean off. You should talk to your doc for sure about it. I called three doctors cause I'm nuts lol.
Have talked to my dr a few times about Zoloft. He said it's all up to how I feel and if I think I need it. I've slowly started weening myself off due to some horror stories I've heard. But the ladies on here are right I tried cold turkey and it made me feel dizzy and lost some coordination so always ask your doctor every person is different. I've heard sometimes the next trimesters are more difficult but glad my doctor and SO are supportive of my decision to ween off. It's hard and I'm for sure working on it. Good luck to everyone. I'm glad someone posted this conversation it's important

Prozac and Zoloft are both commonly prescribed to pregnant women. Neither is considered particularly safe or unsafe; they are both pregnancy category C. Whether or not to start or continue them is a decision that needs to be based on multiple factors, including depression severity and ability to follow through with nonpharmacologic interventions such as counseling.
I've been on Celexa for the past 2 years.... It's not exactly considered safe in pregnancy but my OB gyn said its a risk/benefit --- you don't want me anxious/depressed during the pregnancy because that could harm the baby- but being on the medication could be harmful to the baby too.
I've decided to wean myself off slowly... So far so good... I did have a panic attack when I started spotting on Monday night but I think I would have meds or not. We'll see....
I take wellbutrin. My OB says it's fine but I decided I wasn't going to take it anymore. That was a bad idea. However, I did stop cold turkey which I know better. I am taking it again.
