This is the weekly June '14 PgAL check-in. This is a place for anyone due June 2014 that has suffered a previous pregnancy loss. PgAL is an exciting but scary place so please feel free to share your thoughts, concerns, milestones and vents. Mostly, this check-in is to remind all of us that we are not alone in the journey and to offer support along the way. Check-in is every Saturday.

    QOTW – Our weekly check-ins are coming to an end.  I know that many ladies including myself aren’t extremely active on the board but are on this post.  Do we want to continue weekly check-ins or maybe create a social group to keep in touch with each other?

    Thought of the Week - As we all start having our babies and approach our due dates, please keep our loss ladies in your thoughts.  We all know how hard it is to approach an EDD.  Hugs to all of them if any of them are lurking.

    Well, I haven't had much luck with this plan.  I put them out wet, but unfortunately, despite the fact that it is always sunny here, I forgot that May/June are the cloudiest months of the year.   The one day I had them out, the clouds kept moving. I kept having to go out and move them, and since the first day it's been just too cloudy to bother.  I think the stains got a little lighter in that time, but it's hard to tell.  I needed more time just in direct sun.  I guess I'll switch to Oxyclean next, but I had really hoped to do it without!  I'll let you know if I have any luck.  I didn't have any problems with birds while they were out there, but I did read somewhere that people have had luck even just in a sunny place inside, which would solve the potential bird problem :)

    What do you still have left to prep? The room is coming along.  I ordered some stuff from Amazon the other day.  H and I have to sit down this weekend and make a final list of the rest of the decorational stuff, and order that from Amazon.  I'm feeling like we're getting closer to being done!  

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally?  Everything aches.  And I'm grouchy.  I hate being so easily annoyed, but I haven't figured out how to make it stop!   I hope the little one stays in there for 4 more weeks, and is big and strong, but I'd like it to be late June already!

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I had an appointment on Friday.  Viv looks good, and is still head down, but her head is still above my pubic bone so it seems like all the contractions I've been having haven't been productive.  Which is great as it's still too early.  

    Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Right now I'm too exhausted to be afraid of much.  

    Any baby awesomeness this week? I'm just so happy she still seems to be doing well in there, and I'm so excited for June to get here!

    I'd like the check-in to live at least until we've all had our babies.  I'm happy to help with that.  After that I'd love to keep a group going - I don't care if it's on here or Facebook or whatever.

    @smhorak - I always worried about not knowing that my water broke.  And everyone always said, "Oh, you'll know!".  And then my water broke - it was a slow leak and I barely noticed it.  It was pretty much not different from regular 3rd tri discharge, and I was totally unsure if it had broken or not.  I pretty much just hoped it had, as I was 3 days over due.  If it had happened the week before I'm not sure I would have even guessed that was what was happening - by 3 days past I just wanted something to happen.  The good news is, when I called the  nurses just told me to wait and see if contractions started.  And sure enough, 2 hours later they started and they quickly became easily timeable.  So even if I hadn't noticed the minuscule amount of liquid, my body still would have realized and it wouldn't have made any difference.  Hope that helps!

    What do you still have left to prep? Get a crib mattress, waiting for glider to be delivered, hang blinds, setup bassinet and pack DS's suitcase for grandma's house.

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Nervous, dr. Keeps saying any day now and I still don't feel ready. Plus, today I have been very crampy. Not sure what that means. :(.

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Last appointment was Friday. .5 cm dilated and 70% effaced. Next appointment isn't for two weeks since my dr. Office is moving. :(. I am trying not to stress about it.

    Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Had to do an NST Friday b/c LO has stopped wiggling as much. Thankfully he passed but now I keep stressing about his movements.

    Any baby awesomeness this week? Found out he has a lot of fluid around him which is great news! With my first they had to induce me because his fluid was so low. Looks like we don 't have that problem this time.

    How far along are you? 37 weeks, 3 days

    Team / Name? Pink / Lorna

    What do you still have left to prep? Most everything is done now!  Have to throw a few things in the labor bag and maybe (if I get around to it) make some freezer meals.  But otherwise, things are good :-)

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally?  Physically, tired and sore.  Emotionally feeling good to be term and ready for baby to make an appearance whenever she's ready.

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?  My 38 week appointment is next Tuesday.  Hope that the BP is still good.  At the last few appointments, it's been elevated the first time they took it, but dropped to normal when they measured it again at the end of the appointment.  I'm not sure if this is because I'm nervous about getting PreE again or because my BP is becoming more labile.

    Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add?  Nothing specific

    Any baby awesomeness this week?  So much movement.  I can't wait to see her on the outside.

    What do you still have left to prep?  Just washing up a few more items, then when labor starts install car seat (we did a dry run last weekend) and put the last minute items in the hospital bag

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally?  Baby is at -1 station so feeling lots of pressure, waddling and moving slow.  But overall much better than I expected.  Emotionally I am dying to meet this little girl.  A little scared about birth.

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share?  Ultrasound this past week showed she is 5 lbs 15 oz, looking like she is going to be long and skinny.  

    Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add?  Not really, just overwhelmed with excitement and anticipation.

    Any baby awesomeness this week?  She is far head down, butt up on my left side, and her feet keep poking my right side.  I will miss feeling her move once she is on the outside!

    Hi Ladies, been MIA this past week, suffering with a brutal cold that is honestly driving me nuts :( hopefully I will be over it soon.


    How far along are you? 35 weeks 4 days

    What do you still have left to prep?

    Quite a bit actually, I am a bit of a procrastinator. Baby Laundry to do, pickup some NB diapers and load up the dresser etc. Also still waiting on some replacement screws so we can finish assembling the crib but the bassinet is all ready. Need to get my hospital bag ready too but I know what I need to be in there so not feeling to anxious about it. I will be done working at 38 weeks and I hope to have everything ready or close by then

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally?

    Physically exhausted, tired of being sick with this cold and ready to be done being pregnant, its been a rollercoaster. Emotionally not bad, been missing my mom a great deal lately so that has been getting harder the closer we get to meeting our little lady.

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? 

    36 week check up on Wednesday, group B strep swab and hopefully everything is still looking good. At last check they weren't sure if baby was still head down so maybe another ultrasound order if they still can't tell.

    Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add?

    Starting to have anxiety about labour and recovery, but nothing I can't handle :)

    lots of strong movements, sometimes even painful and uncomfortable especially low kicks and punches to the bladder and cervix area, ouchie.

    Hugs to all the loss ladies out there, I am sure some of you are lurking. I had my EDD for my previous loss back in February and it was a hard day even though I was so very grateful to be expecting again and having a successful pregnancy. Its never an easy time.

    What do you still have left to prep? Nothing to do but have this baby :)

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Physically my body hurts :( and I cannot fall asleep anymore because I am afraid I will have a nightmare. Emotionally I am just a nervous wreck that my induction date is right around the corner. :/

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? I will have my last BPP this Thursday...My last offical appointment will be next tuesday that will determine if I go in Tuesday night or Wednesday morning for the start of the induction.

    Any baby awesomeness this week? I cannot wait until I have this LO in my arms!! I keep sitting in his room day dreaming of what it will be like to finally have our little family complete.

    I always seem to be late on these things! Oh, well.

    What do you still have left to prep? Pack my bag, get out newborn clothes, and a bunch of random errands I want to get done before baby (car stuff, eye doctor, etc)

    How are you feeling physically/emotionally? Pretty good. Very pregnant, but that's a good thing.

    Any updates or appointments coming up you'd like to share? Had my GBS test today - hoping it's negative so no IV is necessary! We are touring a hospital tomorrow and will make our final decision about where we're going to go. The baby seems to be head down - hooray!

    Any PgAL crazy/labor fears/parenting fear you want to add? Labor-wise, just worried about how everything's going to go. I am worried my wishes won't be respected, that I'll have unnecessary interventions, etc etc.

    Any baby awesomeness this week? Being head down is pretty awesome. :)

    2014: son #2 born 6/29

    2016: Baby girl stillborn at 21w6d 4/29 and baby boy stillborn at 20w 3d 11/16
