Chicco Key Fit 30 vs Baby Trend

So I see awesome reviews for the Chicco and like how the base adjusts. Our last car seat for our first two boys was the Baby Trend Flex Loc....it is heavier and the handle did stick but I loved the tringle handle and the knob headrest adjustment. I haven't found another infant seat with those features. Anyone have the Chicco Key Fit 30? Was it a pain to rethread for the straps as baby grew?
Praying this little one sticks!

I used the Chicco for my son and will use it for this baby too. I loved it and found it really easy to use.

  • I always think it's funny when people are concerned about rethread harnesses. I don't find them a big deal at all. It's not like you're moving it every day. You're really only moving it 3-4 times over several months and it only takes a minute or two.

  • We havent had t rethread our CHicco yet, but looking at youtube videos it looks super easy. LOVE our Chicco Keyfit 30. Incredibly easy to install correctly and it gets great safety ratings. Plus, its the only one I've found that fits comfortably in the back of my  '06 Civic Coupe. Easy to adjust the harness too. While DS isnt born yet, we used our Chicco once already while giving a friend to her 6 week post natal appointment. She was really impressed with it. She got one from Costco and she says its such a hassle she really wishes she had spent the extra $ for the travel system we got.
