blood clot

I was mildly spotting when I wiped earlier today and then I just went pee and a blood clot the size of a dime came out.  I'm cramping as well but have been cramping for the last week with no bleeding.  i'm still SO early in the process 4w5d and haven't even gotten my 2nd HCG bloodwork back (back tomorrow).  my first was at 4weeks at 14.  Anyone had this happen and it turn out okay?  Hesitant to call the doctor because it is so early and I know there's nothing I can do.  I had an ectopic about 8 months ago as well.   What would you think or do in my position?  I don't want to get my hopes up and want to know what the reality of the situation is.

    Dozens of the women on here have been in the same situation. Sometimes it was an indicator of miscarriage, and sometimes it meant nothing at all. I would call your doctor if you're concerned. Good luck.

    I would call the doctor, but just so you know they'll likely tell you to keep an eye on it. There isn't much to be done at this point. An u/s wouldn't show anything and you're set to have your second beta drawn, which should give you more info. I hope this turns out okay for you. Good luck.

    I passed a couple large clots and some brown blood at about 6ish weeks. Both little beans are still doing just fine in there and no more spotting or clots since. Hang in there.

    PCOS--TTC since 11/2010:   
    5 cycles of Clomid: all BFN, 1 cycle of Follistim:CP
    1 year break thanks to deployment.
    1 cycle Follistim: BFN, Lap to remove peritubal cyst May 2013
    2 cycles Follistim + trigger: BFN, Gonal F +IUI April 2014: BFP!!!!!! 

    Boy/Girl Twins due Jan 5, 2015!!!

    Maybe POAS? See if its still positive, I would said because you are waiting your numbers there probably isn't too much they can tell you right now. FX everything is okay!

    Ditto. A call to the dr can't hurt and is free for peace of mind.

    Thanks ladies. I decided to give my doctor a call and the nurse a suggested I got home and rest and stay off my feet so that's what I'm doing. I'll find out more information tomorrow. Bright red blood clots are not a good sign though :-/

    I had crazy red bleeding and clots with dd it was the result of a sch but dd is now 9months :)
